Product Engineer Specialist

Team Overview

We are looking for a SR Product Engineer – Energy Cables

Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, reporting to the RD Brazil Manager, you will be responsible carry out the activities of analysis, planning, research, studies, preparation and development of products, from its conception and design to new products or improvement and improvement of existing ones, based on customer needs, preparing estimates of costs, deadlines, conducting various tests, based on international guidelines, techniques and technologies preestablished by the Matrix, aiming to provide the company with competitive products in costs quality, safety, health and the environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

Plan, study, research and develop productsDefine, with customers, information to carry out the development of new productsConduct technical and technological prospecting, identifying needs for improvements of productsConduct evaluations of projects and products, issue reports and technical opinionsDevelop products, elaborating designs, specifications, prototypes, materials, processesmonitor the construction, tests and analysis of resultsEnsure that product development is within the technical standardsLead research projects, feasibility analyses of productsParticipate in activities of qualification, certification and homologation of productsDevelop projects of modifications of productsSearch and implement cost-effective and saving opportunities in all possible products,Technical support to the factory in industrialization phasesTechnical support to Marketing (technical brochures, catalogues...) and commercial (visits to regional strategic customers).

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a person with the following skills: 

Bachelor’s in engineering (Electrical preferred);Advanced English, written and spoken; (Spanish will be differential);Advanced Excel (macros and VBA will be differential);Proven experience with R&D/manufacturing/quality;Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
