About our team:
We are expanding our team of Regulatory Compliance professionals who support industry compliance for our lift trucks and warehouse logistics products. Our work includes testing and evaluating new designs, auditing existing designs, and staying ahead of global industry standard updates.
About the position:
We’re seeking a Product Materials Compliance Engineer to assess product materials compliance, develop compliance strategies, and draft environmental attestations. In this role, you will:
* Identify applicable material compliance standards for new products based on sales destination.
* Strategize, develop, and implement environmental (material) compliance requirements for new products while maintaining compliance for existing and legacy products.
* Manage materials compliance data, databases, and component data analysis related to regulations such as REACH SVHC, Prop 65, Conflict Minerals, and PFAS compliance.
* Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies, including registration and compliance filings.
* Provide environmental compliance guidance to new product development teams. Participate in design reviews for risk analysis and determination of test plans.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing teams to assess and maintain product environmental compliance.
* Act as the primary liaison for teams engaged in environmental compliance and regulatory reporting for industrial warehouse products.
* Track regulatory standards. Assess and communicate their potential impact on Raymond products.
* Work closely with the Regulatory Compliance Manager, Engineering, and Sustainability teams to integrate environmental compliance throughout project lifecycles.
* Respond to environment compliance inquiries from internal and external customers.
* Remain informed on global and domestic environmental regulations, working with teams across the U.S., Japan, and Europe.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to support Lead Engineers and Program Managers.
* Keep leadership informed of project progress, regulatory changes, and potential risks. Recommend adjustments as needed.
* Travel domestically and internationally as required (typically three trips per year).
About you:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
* 1+ year of professional engineering experience.
* Strong organizational, communication, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of material compliance regulations such as PFAS, TSCA, REACH, and RoHS.
* Commitment to compliance, confidentiality, integrity, and ethical practices.
* Ability to present technical material to a technically diverse audience.
It would be great if you had:
* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.
* Experience in materials regulatory compliance.
* Knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local environmental regulations, with the ability to research and interpret global regulations.
* Technical documentation experience, including BOMs and schematics.
* Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
* Proficiency with relevant software applications.
About the total compensation package:
Salary - $80,000 - $96,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
