Job Description

Shopping habits are changing – transacting online is becoming more popular compared to face-to-face purchases, we are shopping with different devices and have more choices in how to pay. Visa is evolving its own capabilities to benefit from these changes, while also shaping and accelerating them by bringing to market new payment experiences.

Visa’s product innovation team is helping to shape the future of commerce. We do this by developing and commercializing new propositions and products in close partnership with our bank and fintech customers and partners. This team is formed by experts coming from diverse backgrounds in product management, architecture, design and research. The Product Analyst, Innovation will be working with initiatives that enable new product capabilities and participating in client engagements to help solution for customer needs. This role involves supporting the development of solutions and maintaining a business perspective and ensuring that these efforts contribute to achieving commercial outcomes. The person in the role will ccollaborate with designers, technical experts and engineers to create and refine new payment experiences.

Please note this is an entry level role.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams (product, design, engineering) to support the develop new use cases using digital-first and product management best practices. (e.g. human-centered design, minimum viable product, rapid prototyping).Assist in analysing the business perspective, focusing on end-user value and relevance to Visa, including cost and revenue modelling.Prepare for client engagements, including pitch and scoping sessions to develop and refine product solutions, business cases, and launch plans.Work with design and technology teams to identify gaps, explore, test, refine, and recommend solutions.Demonstrate basic understanding of Visa’s capabilities and the payments ecosystem to customers, considering the design and implementation of new offerings.Support the evaluation of recommendations and proposed solutions and assist in managing client projects to ensure effective partnerships and timely progress.

 

This role will be based in Berlin, with exposure to key stakeholders and leadership across Visa Inc.

The role will give you a chance to learn and apply your previous knowledge and to shape your career in payments. The actions that you will take in your day-to-day work will create new products and propositions for Visa’s clients and end consumers, developing new offerings with the potential for global impact, helping to shape the future of commerce.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

QualificationsGraduate degree or higher qualificationExperience in commerce & payments, experience specifically in card payments is plusWilling to learn product management or new product developmentExperience in financial institution, fintech, merchant acquirer experience is desirableAbility to leverage data to inform decisions and develop business cases, familiarity with market research and business analytics.Knowledge of innovation and product development methodologies, including Human-centered design (HCD), service design, and agile (SAFe) scrum, is a plus.A mindset that embraces creativity, optimism, ambiguity and a willingness to learn from failuresComfortable interacting, interviewing and iterating with people through exploration of new concept, prototyping and testing
