Job DescriptionABOUT THE JOB
Contribute to the development of a quality product while learning many facets of the product development process including manufacturing and engineering processes. You will work with Production and several engineering functions as well as other cross functional departments through management of the RPT (Request for Plant Trial) process. Gain technical knowledge, skills, and experience with the Production Validation & APQP process while working with the Strategic Engineering Staff to support Continuous Improvement and New Product Development initiatives.
YOUR ROLE:
Management of the RPT processCoordinate trials with operations and support teams such as production, scheduling, quality and product / process engineeringManage RPT process from start to finish including:Lead weekly team meetings for the facilitation of the processInitial request development, approval and schedulingDesign/Production Validation Plan (DVP/PVP) developmentProcurement & coordination of materialsReport out of results through the development of technical reportsFinancial tracking & budget managementManagement of RPT InventoryRPT Process Continuous ImprovementsMinimize risks and support Design for manufacturing and assembly through detailed design reviews and trial development & executionAssistance with development and general launch support of continuous improvement and NPD programsMay perform other duties as assigned QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent; manufacturing experience a plusExcellent written and verbal communicationManage ambiguity while working through stressful situationsInterpersonal skills as well as a positive attitude and a willingness to work with othersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of TT products as well as the fiberglass door lines and molding operationsStrong MS Excel knowledge & E-21 Experience or the willingness to be trainedFork truck certification or the ability to obtain oneEngineering Associate Degree (or in process)Ability to lead small projects and problem solve

Ability to run respective inventory system (Great Plains, E21, MES etc.).LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to complete daily Pre-Use Inspection Sheets.
