Job Description:

Education:

Associate’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required

Work Experiences:

5+ years of related work experience required

Responsibilities:

Partner with suppliers to develop private label products to drive sales, increase margins, and expand market sharePartner with Buying team to understand the Buyer’s product needs, set action plans with necessary deadlines, and execute deliveryPartner with global sourcing counterpart(s) to inform and support category sourcing strategiesPrepare and maintain detailed product packages within PLM Work with Quality Assurance, Vendor Compliance, Import Logistics, and Global Sourcing teams to deliver quality products on time while ensuring all vendors are compliantShop competitors to ensure there is price competitiveness and identify assortment gapsManage and maintain existing and new programs by following through on all product development phasesDevelop and maintains product packagesCollaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain category/product performance and product safety standardsCoordinate labels and packages with Brand Management, suppliers, and vendors; Coordinate appropriate quality testing with Quality Assurance team(Apparel) Secure samples and maintain a sample library with categories, including but not limited to; fit with Tech Design, pre-production, counter, and advertisingPrepare HTS pre-classification within Flex PLM Develop technical knowledge of related product categories, including but not limited to; construction, fabrications, industry standards, and fit where applicableAttend domestic shows to stay abreast of product trends and packaging designsAttend vendor meetings as neededRequired to learn company policies, procedures and safety rulesRoutinely review Private Brand customer reviews on Academy.com. Address poor product performance reviews as warranted.Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assignedSchedule, prepare for, attend and\or lead team meetings as needed

Physical Requirements & Attendance

Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job dutiesAdhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behaviorRegular attendance requiredUp to 15% of domestic and international travel, overnight stays as neededAbility to work flexible hours such as evening, weekends, and holidays as necessary
