Specific Responsibilities:
Implementing traditional distribution products offered to Navitaire hosted airlines. Navitaire offers a full suite of distribution options to Navitaire hosted airlines, including but not limited to GDS connectivity, Interline, Codeshare, and Seating using IATA standard Edifact and Type B messaging as well as IATA standard New Distribution Connectivity XML messaging. This Role will focus on traditional distribution (Edifact and Type B) however, responsibilities may overlap or transition to include NDC messaging in the future.
The successful candidate will work with Navitaire and Amadeus development teams, airline customers and external partners to identify/clarify and draft business requirements and provide implementation support. This position involves collaboration with internal and external teams, industry organizations, airline customers, airline partners and other entities to identify and address complex problems and to deliver solid, successful, and innovative products and solutions that support our company and customer’s objectives.

Common Accountabilities:
Has working experience and advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in own discipline. Understands how own area contributes to the business. Acts as a reference for colleagues with less experience and supports junior team members.Influences decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and is accountable for own and team commitments.Works independently within plan dictated by manager, with some guidance on most complex situations.Key Areas of Responsibility:
Perform requirements elicitation.Perform business and systems analysis.Document and clarify business requirements and produce detailed use cases.Refine the product backlog so that maximum product value is derived from integrated. increment created by scrum teams.Participate in agile events (refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives) when applicable / required.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners. Help in coordination between teams and partners.Coordinate different functional and technical streams to ensure end to end solution consistency.Present functional demonstrations of new software features.Provide on-going BA assistance to Navitaire Development, Product, Quality Assurance, and Customer Support teams.Perform product validation testing of new functionality.Assist with the creation and update of customer and release documentation.Understand industry trends around travel distribution and passenger service systems.Other related duties as assigned.Potential for cross utilization with New Distribution Capability teamsAbout the ideal candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analysis, Business Management or similarPrefer at least 3 years of Business Analysis, System Analysis, Development or Testing or related role.Experience using Agile methodologies for product management.Experience in Legacy Travel Industry Distribution.Knowledge of GDS, Codeshare, Interline.Proficient using Microsoft tools, Azure Dev Ops, and Confluence.Proven ability to document and solve problems and issues effectively.Can easily understand integration/connection with different systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.Proven discipline to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Flexible work schedule; willing to travel.Amenable to work on a Hybrid work setup.
