What you will do
As a Product Manager in our team, you will be at the forefront of working in a modern product operating model at SAP. You will share the responsibility for the value and viability of our products and support in driving product vision, strategy, and execution, ensuring our products deliver exceptional value to users and achieve SAP’s business goals.
You will be an individual contributor to the team who will own and deliver on the following key responsibilities:
Product Vision & Strategy:
Contribute to defining and communicating a clear product vision and strategy aligned with company goals and market needs.
Conduct market research, analyze user feedback, and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for product innovation.
Define target market segments and prepare business case decisions
Continuous Product Backlog Planning & Execution:
Develop and maintain a ranked product backlog that prioritizes deliverables based on customer needs, business objectives, viability, and technical feasibility.
Define backlog items and user stories, including detailed specifications and acceptance criteria for delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the outcome-based product roadmap is aligned with broader business strategies and objectives on product area level.
Ensure consistency of team-based deliverables with other product teams in related areas to foster end-to-end integration across the business scenarios.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering, User Experience and Product Marketing to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Drive regular product planning sessions, backlog grooming, and sprint planning to ensure effective product development cycles.
User-Centric Design:
Champion user-centered design principles, ensuring that user needs and pain points are at the forefront of product development.
Work closely with UX designers and researchers to create wireframes, prototypes, and user journeys that enhance user experience and satisfaction.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Utilize product analytics based on telemetry data, user feedback from multiple feedback channels, and A/B testing to validate product assumptions, measure success, and drive continuous improvement.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and product metrics to assess product performance and prepare future product decisions.
What you bring
Ability to quickly learn and build up domain expertise in Order-to-Fulfill and get a broad and deep understanding of the business processes of our target customers.
Ability to take ownership of customer problems with moderate level of complexity and turn them into product outcomes.
Competencies and domain background in the areas of Cloud ERP software, SaaS principles and Quote-to-Cash related business processes is a plus.
Ability to work independently within given area of responsibility (within defined policies and processes).
Ability to build collaborative work relationships with similar functions across SAP.
Ability to communicate in a clear and relevant manner, to craft compelling product messaging and positioning statements to communicate value to internal and external stakeholders.
Very good teamwork spirit, good networking skills and providing constructive feedback to colleagues and managers.
Strong business acumen and outcome-driven mindset.
Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Design, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
5+ years relevant work experience in software industry preferably in Product Management, Product Engineering or Product Marketing, preferably in the areas of Quote-to-Cash
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Practical experience working with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Scrum)
Passion for technology, innovation, and user-centric product development, with demonstrable success in previous positions.
Professional in spoken and written English

Our product management team for Order-to-Fulfill in Public Cloud ERP drives our end-to-end offering that enables our customers across industries to complete a variety of order and contract processes through to fulfillment and invoicing in a scalable, automated manner infused with business AI.
The Order-to-Fulfill offering comprises of the respective capabilities within SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
We work hand-in hand with Product Engineering and User Experience as an empowered product team, as well as with customers, partners, and many further stakeholders to drive holistic product success for SAP’s Public Cloud ERP offerings.
