**About the Team** At Uber we’re reimagining the way the world moves for the better. Customer Obsession team at Uber builds magical support experiences for Uber’s customers and partners across all Uber’s lines of business touching people’s lives in 70+ countries. **About the Role** As a Product Manager for Customer Obsession, you will be responsible for driving initiatives for providing insights powering customer engagement for support interactions across mobile and web for Riders, Drivers, Eaters, and Businesses using Uber. You will be using best-of-breed technologies, and latest machine learning, data science techniques, and design thinking to accomplish this at a scale that has never been done before in the industry. \-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ---- 01. Lead product strategy and development of the Data Platform & Real-time Insights charter 02. Work closely with a substantial global community operations organization to define data acquisition, processing/ availability, metrics definition and visualization of data to meet business and operational needs. 03. Be accountable for the quality of data and platforms releases, balancing quality vs speed 04. Manage and work with 3rd party products and services that integrate in the Platforms 05. Contribute to improving data standards and quality controls 06. Collaborate with the design team and guide their investments for research, prototyping, experimentation, and overall design thinking 07. Be incredibly truth-seeking. Collect whatever data is vital to advise product direction, whether in the form of competitive intel, rider behavior, or other business metrics. Solicit and welcome critical feedback. 08. Make tradeoff decisions based on technical and business insights and experimentation 09. Supervise and measure launched products and feed insights back into product development process to drive growth 10. Clearly communicate product plans, benefits, and results, as appropriate, to a spectrum of audiences, from internal stakeholders to Uber executives, employees to riders \-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ---- 1. A computer science undergraduate degree or other engineering degree equivalent. 2. 5+ years of product experience delivering highly successful and innovative data products or platforms. 3. Data-driven decision-making ability. 4. Design thinking and customer-centric approach to building, experimenting, and iterating products 5. A "driver" personality - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration. 6. High standards across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on. 7. Grittiness: You don't hesitate to take initiative and address something hands-on, you persevere when others give up. 8. Passion for Uber's mission and the company's hybrid technology/operations nature. 9. A deep desire to grow and learn. \-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ---- 1. Data literate - Possesses a strong understanding of how data can be structured, processed, and leveraged to improve the customer experience and deliver value. 2. Technically proficient in engineering processes and frameworks, with the ability to constructively challenge technical designs. Actively pursues self-development and growth in this area. 3. Familiarity with data governance, security, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). 4. Experience with machine learning workflows, AI-powered data products, or advanced analytics tools. 5. Prior experience working in agile product development environments.
