Job Description

Team Summary

The Product organization drives consumer and commercial product innovation and development for Visa in China. The group identifies, prioritizes, and builds alliances and solutions for new products, platforms, and market segment penetration.

The Consumer Solution team is part of the Visa Product in China, focusing primarily on designing and developing Visa’s product solutions and benefits capabilities into digital platforms and end-to-end consumer mobile experiences. This role aims to drive clients’ preference for Visa as a strategic partner and enabler of superior value propositions for digitally enabled consumers.

What a Product Manager in Consumer Solutions team  does at Visa:

Product Solution Deployment/ implementation: Grasp the knowledge of major Visa consumer solutions (such as Tap-to-pay, VERE, USD shopping mall, and Digital Savvy etc. and act as the primary subject matter expert to support senior business leader CRM colleague in day-to-day interaction with clients, understand clients’ business insights, identify potential business opportunities, and provide in depth analysis and consultancy in product enhancement to help drive the business goals including CIF (card in force)  and transaction volume etc.General & Tailor-made commercial solution development: Act as the subject matter experts to identify proper merchant partner/supplier resources and develop competitive privileges/solutions to support Visa product proposition.Drive consumer product innovation and development in China: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Stay informed about industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities. Understand the consumer insights, manage the relationship with key players in the industry, including understanding their new products and strategies, meanwhile act as the subject matter experts to identify proper merchant partner/supplier resources and develop competitive privileges / solutions to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, CRM, VCA to ensure seamless execution of product strategies. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creative problem-solving and innovation.Lead and deliver annual key strategic projects in FY25 especially on China investment related projects. . (e.g. Modernization US$5m annual revenue )Join in related new product/solution development working stream in agile model, if necessary, incl. VTS and Offer+ etc.Collaborate with sales teams to build relationships with product and business contacts, Client-facing travel (international and domestic)

As Product Manager in Consumer Solutions team, you will be accountable for delivering key projects that demonstrate Visa China Product solutions' capabilities and facilitate client acceptance. You will implement and manage digital/loyalty platform modules for Visa’s top clients across various customer segments. This role requires a high level of collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders and serves as the key interface between business users and suppliers/partners. You will develop end-to-end solutions and services in a strong team environment.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What you will need:

This role usually has acumen business sense & data mining skills & communication skills to understand Visa and other key players capability, find Visa’s value-adding opportunities, identify solution that could fulfil clients’ business needs, to support CRM team to engage client with proper solutions, and then integrate internal and external resource to implement the solutions properly with strong project management skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, CS, EE, Mathematics or a related field.Professional Experience: At least 8 years of experience in a product role within the consumer solutions sector. In-depth technical or product experience in consumer promotion campaign management & operation / loyalty or rewards system/membership program/eCommerce payment with a background in card scheme, internet, fin-tech, credit card issuing bank or related areas.Good knowledge of card payment & processing, digital payment and e-commerce industryProven consumer-facing digitalized project implementation and operation management experience in Finance industryExcellent bi-lingual (English & Mandarin) written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial management principles and experience in managing budgets.Prioritize multiple tasks, and provide high quality deliverables in a fast-paced environmentSelf-driven, Strong collaborative working style to work in a global team environment.Strong organization and negotiation skills and follow up with business leaders and clients/partners.Strong analytical problem-solving skills.Good interpersonal and communication skills

What will also help:

Abundant overseas travel experience with airline/hotel premium membership is a plusKnowledge of running social media account on Tiktok/Red is a plus.
