This product manager role will be primarily responsible for building and optimizing frontend experiences which organize our commerce content offering for discoverability and SEO as well as utilities which help users make more informed buying decisions across a wide range of topics on sites like Yahoo Shopping, Yahoo Tech, and more.

We are looking for a builder and strategic thinker with strong product sense and track-record as an executor. In the role you will leverage your own creativity, market data and insights, product vision, and operational rigor work collaboratively across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, UXR, and Operations and to educate and influence senior leadership. You must be comfortable interfacing with various stakeholders across functions at all levels. Some travel may be required to meet with key stakeholders.

Your Day at Yahoo

Develop a deep understanding of user journeys and behaviors, and leverage these insights to design impactful experiences that address their needs and challenges.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams—engineering, design, content, SEO, and more—to execute the product strategy, define requirements, prioritize the backlog with well-crafted user stories, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Leverage data to drive prioritization, assess success, and identify opportunities for optimization.

Collaborate with product leadership to develop and maintain a forward-looking roadmap, driven by data, user feedback, and competitive insights.

Provide regular updates to cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment and cohesive execution of the product roadmap, while fostering a culture of shared ownership and continuous innovation.

About You

You have 3+ years experience as a Product Manager, building media, digital consumer products, digital publishing and/or digital advertising products with a strong track record of driving user and revenue growth

As a product manager, you lead your team through strong listening skills and clear, effective communication. You’re a natural go-getter with a proven ability to execute and drive results

You complement these skills with web and mobile technical knowledge and Agile software development experience that makes you a credible product owner and informs your judgment regarding timelines, scope, quality, priorities, and tradeoffs

You are the expert on how to break down large, complex initiatives into well-defined, manageable releases, and have an ability to use data to inform your judgment

Experience working with a geographically distributed team, including US and EMEA-based team members

Familiarity with Confluence/Jira, Figma, WordPress, Hubspot, or similar CMS experience

Prior experience working with SEO and content teams is a plus

The compensation for this position ranges from $96,000.00 - $200,000.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
