We are seeking an experienced and visionary Product Manager to lead our Deck-Load Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) platform roadmap and strategy. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our robotics product line, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the successful development and launch of innovative robotic solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, extensive experience in product management, and a proven track record of leading teams to success.
This position will be responsible for the profitable growth of our Deck-Load Automatic Mobile Robot (AMR) hardware platforms as well as software functionality that is specific to these robots and their behavior.
Your responsibilities are:
+ Develop and execute product strategies for our deck-load robotics division.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure product alignment with market needs and company goals.
+ Define product vision, roadmap, and requirements based on market research, customer feedback, and technological advancements.
+ Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch to end-of-life, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
+ Work closely with product manager peers and agile product owners to ensure all product strategies mesh to achieve company level objectives.
+ Work closely with the Head of Product to align product strategies with overall business objectives.
+ Drive market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities and threats.
+ Present product plans and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
+ Lead the development and management of AMR hardware platforms.
+ Ensure the integration of software functionality that is specific to our robots and their behavior.
+ Implement and manage hybrid phase-gate product development processes and agile development in both hardware and software.
The successful candidate
At MiR, we come in all shapes and sizes, and we cheer each other on. However, we do expect that you ’ll bring the following:
+ BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
+ Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in product management, with a focus on robotics or related technologies.
+ Strong leadership and indirect team management skills.
+ Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
+ Deep understanding of robotics technologies and market trends.
+ Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market needs into actionable product plans.
+ Proficient in product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Experience with AMR hardware platforms and software functionality specific to robotic behavior derived from lived experience in either an design, applications, or integrator role.
+ Experience in both phase-gate product development processes and agile development in both hardware and software.
As a person, you are open-minded and pragmatic with an innate ability to continuously learn and develop your skills, and you have a willingness to travel up to 25% to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
