As the Product Manager on Experimentation, you’ll drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Discord’s Experimentation Platform. You’ll lead the effort to build systems and tools that increase experimentation confidence and velocity, empowering teams across Discord to develop and ship products more quickly and with greater confidence.
This is a horizontal role, meaning it supports many different teams, and therefore requires someone who is comfortable and fluent working with a diverse set of stakeholders with goals that are sometimes in tension.
What You'll Be Doing
Guide the product philosophy, vision, and roadmap for our Experimentation Platform, addressing improvements in our current system Design and oversee development of systematic platform improvements that address known challenges (e.g. bias, sample ratio mismatch, etc.) Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to up-level experimentation rigor and self-service utility across functions Develop educational materials and standards to improve experiment design and interpretation across the companyWhat you should have
The humility to do whatever is necessary to drive impact, to thrive in ambiguous environments, and to get excited about finding solutions to complex problems 5+ years of experience building and shipping great software, including responsibilities driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines Experience with experimentation platforms, A/B testing frameworks, or causal inference methodologies Strong understanding of statistical concepts relevant to experimentation (p-values, confidence intervals, power analysis, etc.) BA/BS in computer science, mathematics, physics, economics, or related field or equivalent years of experience Proven ability to analyze and synthesize data, including writing SQL, Python, and/or R and using BigQuery Demonstrated technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with engineers A passion for games and the gaming industryBonus Points

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $196,000 to $220,500 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
