Product Manager, OEM Technology

Job Summary

The OEM Technology Product Manager is responsible for managing technical aspects of OEM partnerships and Masimo product integration into OEM products.  This position provides technical support, and relationship management related to integration, launch, and product life cycle of Masimo technology and related products. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Create and support Masimo product change or release notifications as required using specific OEM company procedures (SCN, SCR, etc.); Manage cut-ins of new products, versions, and revisions with OEM partners as assigned;  Work with OEM Technology and Integration teams to provide input related to roll out of new features and technologies as required; Ensure appropriate internal processes and technical documentation are updated accordingly (e.g. SDP’s, CSD’s, etc.); Participate in meetings related to OEM product quality, metrics, and failure data to provide guidance as well as determine if OEM design support is required; Act as OEM Technology liaison to OEM Business and OEM Customer Service inquiries (Development and Compliance information and documents); Provide technical information as needed to aid in the creation of OEM specific sales and marketing collateral (e.g. spec verification, product bulletins, data sheets, etc.); Assist with creation, documentation and management of OEM EQ numbered products as assigned; Initiate and track regular communication with OEM Technology and Integration personnel regarding OEM product launch status; Work with OEM Business to facilitate OEM device launch including initial forecast prior to integration testing completion; Work with OEM Engineering Project Managers to provide visibility and strategy for upcoming cut ins and cutovers to streamline production planning and minimize over or under building product; Assist as requested with administration and/or customer access of the OEM Document Portal used to distribute documents to OEM partners; Travel to OEM and/or hospital sites may be required; Work with all internal departments as required to drive OEM related product issues to successful, timely completion;

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

Five or more years of product development and associated project management experience;  Must possess an ability to work at a technical level with engineers and customers; Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal format; Excellent organization skills, ability to proactively troubleshoot both process and specific customer implementation issues;

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in medical device industry;

Education

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field is required.

Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000.  Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.  May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.  Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
