The Opportunity

This position is in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division, where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.   

We are looking for an energetic and driven product manager to join our growing Product and Innovation group, which is responsible for software and hardware products and services that expand and enhance the capabilities of the FreeStyle Libre platform, the world’s #1 continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) solution.

This is a fully on-site role in our main Alameda, CA site OR you can choose to work from our Milpitas,

CA office as well.

What you’ll work on

Maintain and advance the product roadmapUse insights to help identify new product opportunitiesIdentify and prioritize unmet user needs, and translate them into product requirementsCollaborate with product designers to define the complete user experiencePlan and execute design research and user testingCollaborate with software engineering to implement and test new features and/or productsTrain internal stakeholders on new features and/or productsCollaborate with product marketing to produce promotional and/or educational contentSupport on-market activities in collaboration with Commercial teamsDrive the use of analytics to generate (1) deep insights about product utilization and (2) real-world outcomes data

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 4 years' experience or MBA with at least 2 years of related experienceExperience building and shipping software and/or hardware productsExperience working in highly cross-functional organizations

Preferred Qualifications

Strong presentation and communication skills, proactive and resourceful with a “can do” attitudeAble to think openly, broadly and strategicallyStrong analytical skills, able to draw conclusions from dataEnjoys responding quickly and influencing people to deliverSound time management skills, ensuring that work is produced to agreed deadlines and high standardsHighly organized, focused and committed to achieving goalsThrives under pressure with tight deadlines on several initiatives simultaneouslyUnderstanding of delivering products in a regulated environmentPrevious experience working in health and wellness is a plus

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
