Role Description
As an Associate Product Manager, you will support the development and execution of products within a highly visible space within bp for our wells and subsurface businesses within production and operations.  You will assist in identifying customer needs, defining product features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring products to market.  You will be involved in developing measurable KPIs for demonstrating impact, linking your product back to bp’s financial, operational, and customer strategy. This is a hands-on role that gives you a breadth of product management experience as a launching pad for career growth.

Demonstrate a strong analytical mind by diving into product data, analyzing market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to support product strategy development

Collaborate with senior product managers to define product features and requirements that align with customer and business goals

Help track and report on product performance metrics, contributing to data-driven decision-making

Support the planning and coordination of product launches and other go-to-market activities

Ability to deeply immerse yourself in knowing and empathizing with your internal and/or external customer(s) needs through participating in customer research activities

Engage with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback

Work with the product team to ensure feedback is integrated into product development

Technology driven: 

Support the development of product roadmaps in collaboration with engineering and design teams

Learn and apply agile methodologies to assist in the iterative development of products

Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure products meet customer needs and technology specifications

Transformational leadership:

Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and teamwork

Help identify opportunities for product improvements and innovation

Engage with industry resources and communities to build knowledge and networks

Support change management initiatives to ensure smooth product implementation and adoption

Demonstrate a proactive and learning mindset, seeking opportunities for growth and development

Show initiative in taking on new challenges and responsibilities

Required Experience

BS in Business, Economics, STEM or equivalent education

A few years of experience in product management or a related field such as business analysis, development or testing

Knowledge of document creation processes, decision making workflows and related digital tools

Domain experience and hence ability to engage with our wells and subsurface customers – engineers and advisors.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Travel Requirement

Negligible travel should be expected with this role
