Our product team works takes a collaborative atmosphere to focus on initiating SailPoint's product development, marketing its launches, and constantly improving and refining our products.
The Product Manager is a strategic position responsible for the success of SailPoint products in the marketplace. The position requires strong product management skills that balance market needs with SailPoint strategy and heavily relies upon management and communication skills. Additionally, a technical understanding of enterprise software, customer IT environments and rapidly evolving security and compliance technologies is critical. This role will set the vision for SailPoint’s market leading IdentityIQ product line and execute the overall backlog. The Product Manager must be comfortable working closely with executives to communicate the vision and roadmap, with engineering and services to optimize roadmap execution with successful service delivery and with marketing and sales to achieve customer growth. Consistent communication with prospects, customers and partners is expected to have a continuous feedback loop into the backlog and vision.Responsibilities:
Drive strategy for the product line based on market opportunity and investment priorityDrive product innovation through customer feedback, deployment success, competitive positioning and market thought leadershipDevelop, prioritize and manage the product backlog in a lean / agile environmentProvide product support for sales opportunities, including on-site customer visits when neededOversee and participate in the user experience testing and product feedback sessions to capture key feedback that feeds product developmentOffer subject matter expertise to support collateral, presentations/scripts, and FAQs that enable critical field resources and communicates the IdentityIQ value propositionAct as product spokesperson for SailPoint at tradeshows, industry events, and conferencesSupervise individual product managers and UX DesignersRequirements:
3+ years of experience in a product management roleDemonstrated success in working with engineering teams to plan, develop, refine, and launch successful enterprise software productsExperience collaborating with product marketing and corporate marketing to deliver content, drive thought-leadership and demand-gen programsExperience delivering support to field and channel sales organizationsExcellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skillsEducation: BA/BS in business or technical field required. MBA is a plus
