We’re looking for an experienced product manager to join our Use Cases team and help execute on a critical piece of Asana’s strategy to ensure Asana feels perfectly fit for our customers. You will be responsible for deeply understanding the complexity and challenges our customers face as they work to set up Asana for their specific use cases, and help guide those customers through discovery of best practices and generalized versions of a use case, to the specific version that works perfectly for them. You are comfortable collaborating with engineering and design, as well as product marketing, sales, and our customers, to create seamless customer experiences.
The Product Management team drives Asana’s product strategy and execution, translating customer needs and opportunities into a compelling roadmap and working cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions for team productivity and collaboration. We’re helping to define the Work Management category and inventing new ways for teams to work more efficiently together and see the larger purpose behind their work. Our team works directly with Engineering, Design, Experience Research, and Data Science, as well as with Sales, Support, and Marketing to ship great products. You’ll take part in every type of product work here — from strategy to product to process improvements — conceptualizing, launching, and iterating on Asana itself for thousands of teams around the world.
This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve
Define and deliver a compelling roadmap to ensure customers discover, set up, and refine their use case, driving repeat visitation and retention among our customers.Synthesize input from customers, user research, data science, and business partners, ensuring we are continuously learning about the use case journey.Balance multiple workstreams to ensure you are making continued progress on the most leveraged parts of use case setup.Partner closely with design, engineering, marketing, and customer success to co-create a cohesive end to end journey and execute on the roadmap with velocity.Evangelize across the R&D organization on how building for use cases first supports our customers, and support other teams in ensuring their work is incorporated into the use cases our customers use.
About you
5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with at least 1-2 years experience on B2B SaaS. Customer-centric: You spend time directly with customers to understand the nuance of their challenges; dig into the roots of customer needs; synthesize research to gain a deep understanding and narrow definition of a problem. Communication and collaboration: You partner with cross-functional teammates to deliver high-quality results. You speak with clarity and write sharp product specs. You are highly comfortable pairing with design on complex user flows, and getting into deep technical discussions with engineers about the pros and cons of different approaches. Systems thinker: You can conceptualize the key moments of setting up a single complex use case, how that complexity multiplies as we create a system that can handle dozens of use cases, and create a simple journey through these steps for your customers. Strategic: You inspire the company by creating bold, intuitive work connections within the platform and scoping them to solve the most critical customer problems. Get Stuff Done: You create, flex, and evangelize a roadmap; thoughtfully break down projects to MVPs and iterative projects to ship with high velocity and business impact. You can balance multiple different sized projects to ensure continued learning and progress. Grow Team Asana: You are a mentor for others; create great team morale; share PM best practices. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $202,000 - $258,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
