Product Management Manager
Your role and responsibilities•\tOwn the local go-to–market product marketing strategy for assigned products including value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy.•\tDefines the customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensures clear communication to sales, channels and users. •\tCollaborates with internal Marketing and Sales teams to define the marketing plan, including marketing communication activities, training activities and sales initiatives.•\tLead the market intelligence analysis by understanding and defining the current market segmentation and related offering positioning including relevant regulations and standards.•\tManages different channel to market scenarios in coordination with Channel Management and Marketing & Sales to ensure best market coverage.•\tSupport the sales organization in the local market by providing product support to sales teams including trainings.•\tCreate demand through technical promotion, providing solutions and a value base selling approach with expert level knowledge of products and competitors offerings. •\tUnderstands customer needs in the local market by building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers and partners ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.•\tIdentifies potential gaps in portfolio, both against competition and new market opportunities.•\tOwn the product life cycle management at the local level from Active to Classic phase.•\tEscalation of product technical issues cases for assigned offering and ensures a resolution.•\tDevelop product business cases. Collecting and analyses standards, market requirements, competitor news, customer needs and values as an input to the product development process and influence the development of product variants or features to support the local market requirements.•\tOversees inventory levels and sales volumes on a regular basis to ensure ability to fulfil customer orders.•\tTracks and analyzes offering performance and trends in terms of volume and profitability.•\tUnderstands relevant regulations and standards e.g. on HSE or cyber security (both external and ABB internal).•\tNational role, Business travel 15-20% of the time (Canada, USA, Europe).
Qualifications for the roleElectrical engineering degree or electronic college degree with a minimum of 5 years of experi-ence in Variable Speed Drives (VSD).Knowledge of PLC an asset.Good knowledge of the Canadian VSD/Automation market.Good factory automation and electrification best practice knowledge.Fieldbus communication and Functional safety knowledge an asset.Bilingualism, written and spoken (French and English). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis. High customer focus.Teamwork oriented and demonstrate high level of initiative, problem solving, information seeking and eager to learn.Good sense of urgency and ownership.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform an asset.
