Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Product Manager The Product Manager will be responsible for product pricing and ensuring that quotes are issued in a timely manner; will be the focal point for capturing and communicating competitive and market information; will document and maintain an LTA database; and will develop and present product training to internal and external customers. The Product Manager will also support new product development activities. This key position is located at the HFS Fullerton Plant site in Fullerton, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops the annual facility Booking and Sales Forecast, for applicable product lines, in coordination with Sales and OperationsMeets or exceeds the budgeted facility bookings, bookings margin, and backlog margin objectivesCoordinates the creation and maintenance of system price curves, and where applicable, discount structures; documents and communicates modifications made to pricing structureDetermines applicable expedite charges associated with shipping product ahead of standard delivery schedulesReviews and determines applicable charges associated with product cancellationsResponsible for maximizing facility margins while meeting the serve market share objectivesEnsures that daily quotes as well as LTAs are completed in a timely mannerResponsible for developing LTA strategies in coordination with Sales and OperationsInitiates the development of unsolicited LTAs to capture targeted businessCaptures, documents, and maintains all facility LTAs, and uses the LTA database as a tool to proactively secure additional profitable businessCaptures and documents all LTA proposals that are presently being worked and follows-up on those that have been submitted but have not yet been awardedHas quote sign-off authority for spot buys and packages greater than $50,000 but less than $500,000Coordinates the sale of E & O and Dormant inventoryEnsures that all daily, monthly, and other requested reports are ran, evaluated, distributed, and acted upon to achieve the facility booking and margin objectives; reports include Daily bookings / margin reports (to include explanations as applicable), Daily tracker (for applicable product lines), Monthly Business Review reports, and Staff meeting reportsEnsures that the applicable Product Strategy Road Maps and Growth Revenue Bridges are kept current (updated annually) and are communicated to OperationsPerforms market analysis as deemed necessary or that is requested, to aid in decision making relating to the entering and/or exiting of markets, identifying market opportunities, product transfers, pricing decisions, lead-time evaluation, etcDevelops and helps implement product entrance, exit, and transfer strategiesResponsible for performing necessary research to determine product market shareInitiate the solicitation, capture, and documentation of competitive information used to assist in making strategic decisionsCreates a weekly bullet point report summarizing significant points of interest (major accomplishments, issues, business travel, customer visits, etc) relating to the applicable product lines and facilityCoordinates customer facility visits, in coordination with Sales and Operations, and participate as applicableOther tasks as assignedSkills:
