Your role:
As a Product Manager for the Bloomberg Lab Developer Experience, you’ll be responsible for designing the end-to-end user workflows for authoring and managing code. This includes multiple IDEs, code assistance, LSP integrations, and source code management tooling. You will be a member of the Platform product team which is responsible for all foundational elements of the product e.g . all features which are agnostic of a specific financial workflow.
This is a high-visibility role in a very cross-functional environment so you’ll need to be comfortable wearing many hats and balancing technical expertise with business acumen.
We’ll trust you to:Interview quants, data scientists and other stakeholders to deeply understand their workflows, synthesize feedback and map user requirements into tangible feature setsDefine and articulate a compelling vision for how users can use Bloomberg’s data science platform to easily author and manage code Work with a talented engineering team to scope work, solve problems and manage the software delivery pipelineCommunicate across the organization to align efforts from many departmentsDefine key elements of our go-to-market strategy and ensure a smooth product rollout
You’ll need to have:A bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field5+ years total industry experience, preferably 2+ years of experience in an Engineering role and 2+ years of experience in a Product Management roleStrong familiarity with Python, especially Jupyter notebooks and PandasExperience with Code Assistants, in particular IDE extensions to integrate with LLMsStrong organizational and communication skillsWillingness to roll up your sleeves and help out even when it’s not in your job description
We’d love to see:Prior experience in financial services and an understanding of the investment research workflowsFamiliarity with cloud technologies
Salary Range = 140000 - 295000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
