Job Description JOB SUMMARY Meeting or exceeding sales & marketing objectives for the Eyecare Business Unit. This will be achieved through: • Fostering creativity and a desire to exceed client expectations through our products, our people, and our service offering • Developing and implementing marketing plans • Communicating core messages to sales organization. • Ensuring that the sales team has the information and the tools they require to be competent and confident in their roles • Leveraging scientific support and medical resources from the region and ISM, and Global to grow the Philippines business • Key Opinion Leader development • Support overall objectives of the business unit, in addition to individual objectives. • Perform special projects on a needed basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Marketing and Product Management • Developing strategic marketing plans for AbbVie’s Eyecare product ranges. Contributing to the setting of annual sales targets. Measuring and updating plans to ensure results are on or above set annual budgets. • Creating and implementing innovative tactical promotional programmes to support AbbVie’s Specialist Sales Force activities and drive brand performance. • Contributing to regular business unit’s meeting in a manner that facilitates ideas, results, act fast and building bridges, consistent with our BOLD culture, that will build AbbVie’s success. • Providing on-going report that helps Executive Management team reflect on the Eye Care business. These covers: Key Issues, Opportunities, Competitive Activity, short term projects and where appropriate progress versus agreed milestones 20% Budget Management • Managing the Eye Care Annual TMK and IMK Budget • Completing Finance revisions for the MFC, LE2, LE3 and LE4 budgets with accurate documentation • Ensuring expenditure is accurate against forecast. Ensuring this is a >95% accurate versus quarterly goals set within AbbVie. • Forecasting inventory accuracy requirements with the Business Unit Head and assisting the logistics team with inventory control to maintain accuracy of sales forecasts and product requirements. • Regular coordination with distributor partners on supply monitoring, supply shipments, sampling and account management. Team Management • Coordinating with Sales Manager to create a positive team environment through the demonstration of strong leadership behaviors and BOLD culture, including communicating deliverables of each product’s portfolios. • Designing and implementing achievable and strategically aligned goals that support the strategic direction of products and product portfolio. Coordinate with Sales Managers to ensure that marketing plan of each product is communicated to Sales Team. • Monitor the progress of these goals and provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives. • Make periodic sales call with Sales Team and/or Sales Manager to get firsthand information on trends and conditions in the market/industry and to aid sales teams in their sales efforts. Management of AbbVie Training Programs • Developing budget for inclusion in the annual marketing plan • Selecting and managing agencies and staff involved in coordinating all training programs • Measuring external agencies performance versus expectations. This will involve the development of monthly KPI’s for the agencies which are to include meetings, trainer satisfaction, timeliness of invoices, actuals versus budgets • Ensuring the content and processes of the training programs ensure best clinical outcomes and the trainers, attendees and any patients involved feel that each training event is professionally conducted & appropriate for a medical treatment. Sales Force training • Play a supportive role in improving sales effectiveness of the Eye Care teams • Facilitate development and implementation of a Field force training strategy together with Sales Training Manager • Ensure improvement of sales forces in both product knowledge and selling skills in conjunction with Sales Force Effectiveness and Training Managers • Support the development and implementation of key customer targeting, field activity monitoring and reporting projects such as ETMS systems and to strengthen the sales management process in the region. Conference Management • Managing AbbVie speakers/ workshops at various meetings throughout the year • Determining AbbVie’s various speaker programs and congress to ensure that AbbVie’s profile/ brand is enhanced. This will require the speakers to be chosen to bring relevant and interesting content to the various audiences; liaising with meeting organizers on agenda and content to assure a strong AbbVie presence. • Overall management of major stand-alone roadshows throughout the year, and regional & international meetings, in consultation with ISM’s colleagues when necessary. Quality • Supporting AbbVie’s Quality Management System, compliance related requirements and internal auditing processes. Qualifications • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Science /Health Sciences MBA degree preferred • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry and minimum 3 years’ experience in product management function • Any regional experience in Product Management/ Brand Management in Pharma industry is desirable • Good understanding of hospital environment and prior track record of developing KOL relationships • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines, pricing and reimbursement processes • Strong scientific orientation, capable of developing effective marketing materials • Management of advisory panels and leveraging both internal and external resources (medical, medical marketing, clinical, corporate marketing etc.) • Good numerical proficiency and Strong general computer literacy with Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook • Manage the P&L of the business in terms of budgeting and forecasting sales, expenses, management of projects etc. • Strong business acumen complimented by strategic thinking skills • Works with a spirit of continuous improvement and innovation, creatively open to new ideas and methods • Ability to maintain confidentiality, specifically relating to financial and customer information • Professional verbal and written communication skills, linked with a passion that has an impact • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop a team atmosphere and work cooperatively with other teams • Ability to multi‐task, prioritize and work under pressure within strict deadlines AbbVie Philippines address : One Ayala East Tower Additional Information AbbVie is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to operating with integrity, driving innovation, transforming lives, serving our community and embracing diversity and inclusion.
