As our new Product Manager (f/m/d) for Access Control systems in the physical security domain you will be responsible for a strong product positioning in the global marketplace. The journey of Access Control is currently going through a transformation path from traditional on-prem towards Edge-to-Cloud architectures, with increasing AI powered use-cases adding value to the system owners and users. This role requires conducting competitive market research, requirement collection and prioritization, business planning, investment budget definition and controlling, product release and delivery management, lifecycle management and more.  Collaboration with Siemens country organizations, distributed R&D and technical support teams, internal & external thought leaders, as well as Product Management peers are essential to the role. Siemens has a strong footprint in Access Control, which shall be further increased in a growing market.

How you’ll make an impact 

Be responsible for success of Access Control (on-prem & Edge) products in collaboration with countries,​ including defining, developing, delivering, and supporting relevant products Understand customer needs globally as well as on country business support needs   Foster strong understanding of markets and competition, formulate actions to stay and get ahead of competition  Develop strong understanding of (users') needs to improve workflow and serviceability   Define and prioritize business opportunities, based on customers needs and competitive impulses  Define and execute product line strategy based on prioritized opportunities and in line with portfolio strategy  Create portfolio roadmaps based on priority opportunities; deliver roadmaps in time and at cost  Define and execute development and maintenance of assigned product line, in a timely and high-quality manner  Propose yearly product line investments  Drive continuous improvements in workflow, serviceability, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)  Own achievement of best-in-class product cost  Plan launches and other key marketing activities with Marketing, ensure execution by Marketing  Own and ensure achievement of defined KPIs, like product line investments, time-to-market, product quality, etc.  

Your success is grounded in

EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required to bring solid expertise  Experience & SkillsLong-term industry experience in the domain of Access Control as a Product Manager  Experiences in system commissioning, project management or sale in the field of Access Control and Physical Security would be beneficial  Profound experience in product ownership within a product-based development organization, with proven successes  Strong marketing and business development skills  Ways of workingStrong enthusiasm for learning new technologies and business areas, along with a readiness to work cross-functionally  LanguagesProfound English language skills are essential for the job
