Peerless Pump Company, a Grundfos subsidiary, is seeking a Product Manager within the Fire BU. The Fire Product/Category Manager is globally responsible for overseeing the range of pumps and buyouts necessary to support the sales growth of the fire segment. This position project manages and operationalizes product strategies related to new products, additional hydraulics selections, certifications, investments, electronic tools, product information, and customer/field communications. This position reports directly to the Global Sales Director and will operate out of the Indianapolis, IN facility in a hybrid function. **_Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in the USA without support._** **Your main responsibilities** : **Portfolio/Customer offerings** + Ensure we are up to date on our product offering and keep track of competitor’s offering and new products. + Identify gaps in coverage and interface with sales, engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing. + Liaise with purchasing of key buy out items such as controllers, motors, and engines and liaise with engineering on development and listings/approvals as well as support documentation for all fire products. **Manage process for roadmap of needed products** + Perform market studies and provide needed data. **Work with key suppliers on innovative platforms to support growth** + Provide product support for trade shows and other sales related functions. + Provide reports and business planning documents, as required. + Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and profitability. + Host customers for successful on-site product inspections and testing. + Collaborate and work within Peerless ISO/Quality Systems to ensure compliance. **Your Background:** **We imagine that you have:** + A bachelor’s degree in Technical, Engineering, or Business Discipline is highly preferred. + A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in technical, engineering, or business-related focus + Experience with product knowledge and project management with Fire Products (Pumps and key components) + Strong communication and leadership skills. + Experience with technical product sales, commercial terms structures, contract review and negotiation. + Strong problem solver and ability to prioritize various tasks. + General and advanced principles of hydraulics, pump designs, and pump applications. + Familiar with sales and marketing concepts, practices, and procedures. **What’s in it for you?** What are your goals?
