The Role

Due to an internal promotion we are seeking another product manager to join the braking team. With a strong mechanical aptitude, the successful candidate will develop and grow the products in our Braking category.  Using effective product management methodologies, you will work alongside another Product Manager and wider team to deliver new product development and enhancements in the Braking category.  

Preferred location is Rowville, however other major cities will be considered for the right person.

What You Will Do:

Research & develop new product ranges, review and maintain a range of products to meet business & market objectives and ensure sustained success (performance, sales, service)Manage the product lifecycle for appropriate rangesEnsure products meet relevant quality standards and specificationsManage packaging briefs for new productsWorking with the Senior Product Manager, ensure all products are accurately cataloguedDevelop methodologies for calculating and tracking the market size and share of the categoriesMonitor and analyse the market and competitive environmentKeep up to date with automotive industry developmentsRespond to technical inquiries from our internal and external customersRepresent the Braking Category at Trade Shows (Ability to travel interstate and overseas required)    

About You:

Have a mechanical aptitude (automotive, engineering, aeronautical etc)Possess Product Management experience 5 years + (flexible)Have experience sourcing products from local and overseas suppliersAn understanding of sales analysis and forecastingPossess technical experience relevant to portfolio productsEffective client management – facing work, build rapportIntermediate MS OfficeThe ability to work across a broad product suite and take a pragmatic approach to your work
