Your Role:

The Product Manager will drive growth of new and existing business through the development and implementation of new products/line extensions, ongoing integration with MilliporeSigma, and product lifecycle management. The emphasis of this role will be on nucleic acid delivery for discovery research, labeling technologies, and support for viral vector technologies. The position will report to the Director, Strategy, Product, and Business Development.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute near-term and long-term strategies and tactics to support the growth of Mirus Bio’s Discovery Research productsMaintain a deep understanding of relevant research applications and techniquesWork closely with the commercial team, distributors, and internal stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and execute on tactical plansCreate content and messaging including training and support tools for internal and external stakeholders Compile market and competitor intelligence, customer feedback, market trends, and monitor media and events to gain a strong understanding of the market landscape Assess the technical and strategic feasibility of potential new projects with internal stakeholders to guide development prioritiesDevelop and execute go-to-market strategy for new product introductions and line extensionsManage pricing and discounting for Discovery Research products to maintain margin & revenue goalsMaintain a system of key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the achievement of growth objectivesLead product lifecycle activities for best seller Discovery Research products to yield overall product line performance gains including revenue growth, margin improvement, quality, and on-time deliveryMaintain strong working relationships within R&D, Marketing, Sales & Support, and Project ManagementSupport product management initiatives for viral vector technologies on an ad hoc basis

 

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a life science-related discipline or commensurate work experience3+ years of product management or similar relevant experience in the life science tools and therapeutics space with a proven track record of driving and growing product portfoliosExperience in cellular and molecular biology fieldsAbility to travel independently up to 15-20%, including overnight Global travel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or M.S. or Ph. D. a plusPrevious experience working within the academic discovery research or biotech/pharmaceutical industryAn exceptional ability to operate at the intersection of science and marketing, and drive value creation through tactical executionSelf-starting strategic thinker with a demonstrated track record of success in a product management or similar positionIntellectually curious; able to assimilate a broad base of information to quickly understand customer needs and match those to opportunities and internal capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving, resolution skills, and a team focusCapability to collaborate cross-functionally throughout an organization, leveraging soft skills to communicate and lead through influence

 

Role can be based anywhere in the US

 

Pay Range for this position: $79,900 - &172,900.00

Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data.
