SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position has market share responsibility for all Clinical and Laboratory product lines from Implants, including formulation, communication, and execution of short/mid/long-term marketing strategies to achieve sustainable growth; work closely with the sales team to develop short-term marketing action plans to ensure achievement of desired revenues and profit goals in line with the DENTSPLY SIRONA Asia and DENTSPLY SIRONA global strategy.

 

Additionally, this position is responsible for the launch of new products and line extensions including collaboration with other DENTSPLY SIRONA divisions as well as external resources; marketing research and market analyses; forecast projections; presenting research findings and recommendation to senior management; as well as developing and implementing new product launch strategies and commercialization plans locally.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads the development of marketing strategy and planning of sales and marketing programs for Malaysia and Singapore – Implants. Works closely with the regional marketing team, local sales organizations, other location’s affiliating marketing team and other key functions / divisions including logistics, customer service and finance function within DENTSPLY SIRONA. Effectively implements all marketing strategies aligned with country’s over-all business plan. Works closely with sales and logistics team to ensure sales forecast accuracy by providing relevant market information and impact of promotional programs which affects monthly sales trends. Identifies and develops synergistic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Influencers aimed towards creating new and sustainable business opportunities to ensure continuous product growth and local market expansion. Gather market intelligence to determine to determine potential market requirements for existing and future DENTSPLY SIRONA products. Gathers and analyses short and mid-term impact of competitive activities and anticipates threat of future competitive product launches. Manages the productivity of marketing and promotion projects. Controls promotional expenses to ensure optimal return on investments. Works effectively with the sales team for timely and productive execution of tactical programs to ensure delivery of committed returns on investments. Develops and implements pricing strategies based on evaluation of economic conditions, competition, costing and other factors which affects the marketability of DENTSPLY SIRONA products. Supports the Field Sales organization to great leads through direct to customer marketing programs. Supports dealer in Malaysia and Singapore through leads generation & market development strategies. Oversees collateral development, product training materials, convention programs and branding materials. Sales & Dealer Support – provides updated sales aids, competitor information, sales argument, and training support to sales team. Work closely with the sales management team to help promote Dentsply Sirona products effectively.

 

New product launches

Work with the product manager/specialist to develop marketing launch plan in coordination with regional and country priorities.  Coordinates other related launch activities such as inventory forecast, logistics and regulatory requirements with concerned departments local and international.

 

Quarterly and yearly market activities planning

Provides quarterly and yearly marketing activities planning activities with regional counterparts. Actively participate at quarterly review meeting, and yearly budget process.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Education

Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. Business degree is preferred.

Experience & Knowledge

Minimum of 5 years of business experience in Marketing, preferably in medical or consumer goods field. Experience in dental line is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience in brand and project management, especially new product launch. Proven experience in customer and market research. Brand life cycle and product portfolio management experience. Knowledge of unit forecasting methods. Demonstrated experience in writing business and marketing plans. Demonstrated influential leadership ability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
