Product Manager - Private Markets Strategic Partnerships
Bloomberg is a leading provider of Enterprise Product, Enterprise Data and desktop solutions through our Core business that include the Terminal across public markets and increasingly as we satisfy increased client demand, private markets. As asset managers and asset owners make ongoing investment, allocation and risk management decisions across both public and private markets, their stakeholder demands continue to evolve. Equally, banks remain a key participant in private markets in an ecosystem that is increasingly interconnected between banks, asset owners and managers and each of these remain key client segments that we want to evolve alongside and service these increased demands for solutions. As we look to combine our existing offering in private and public markets and execute on expanding these to include more of what makes up the growing private market landscape we are also looking to simultaneously identify strategic partnerships to help accelerate our ambition in this space. **The Role** We are looking for an experienced hire that has an excellent understanding of the private market landscape across all asset classes and a deep understanding of the clients we service, including technology, workflow and data solutions. Combining this with an excellent understanding of the vendor, solution provider, asset servicer and competitor landscape will also be a key requirement. The specific responsibilities will include working with all key stakeholder groups across Bloomberg, including product, data, news and corporate development teams, to identify areas of focus based on our defined vision for private markets to identify areas of strategic focus and partnerships that complement what we are building to help accelerate this vision and deliver high-value solutions that address our clients most pressing challenges. **We’ll trust you to:** + Build an internal network across all stakeholdergroups driving increased collaboration between these groups and an increasedfocus on partnerships that help accelerate our ambition. + Synthesize these internal requirements into aclearly defined set of priorities and identify key partners we can engage with toaddress our client needs and opportunities. + Present suggestions and recommendations tostakeholders and senior management based on your deep understanding acrossprivate markets and various potential partner options on key areas of focus. + Engage with clients as well as potentialpartners at a senior level as well as at a working group level. **You’ll need to have:** + 10+ years of relevant experience in privatemarkets and an ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of our client baseand partner landscape including a good understanding of the competitivelandscape. + Strong understanding of the asset owner andasset manager investment life-cycle, workflows, tools, analytics and datarequirements and how these are currently being addressed through internal andexternal solutions + Strong leadership,presentation and communication skills and an ability to operate at a seniorlevel both internally and with our clients + Strong understanding of the various privatemarkets asset classes including Private Equity, Private Direct Lending, PrivateAsset Based Finance, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Private Funds, PrivateCompanies and Private Custom Benchmarks. **We’d love to see:** + Demonstrated commercial acumen with a proventrack record in negotiating and executing strategic partnerships. + Good understanding of independent valuationchallenges and solutions as well as the ESG data provider landscape for privatemarkets. + Deep knowledge of client cohorts including GPs,LPs and service providers. + Demonstrated expertise in private markets and acomprehensive understanding of the investing process and data needs across eachdeal stage. + Experience leading organizations through periodsof change and introducing new, innovative ideas Salary: 140000,295000,USD,Annual Bloomberg is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
