We are looking for a high-caliber Product Manager to join our growing Digital Marketplaces Product team. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, competitive landscapes, trends, and defining product roadmaps that leverage technology and data to delight customers. You’ll own areas of strategic importance that are pivotal for our business growth. You will think about the end-to-end customer journey across product and business units to ensure our customer’s experience is a compelling, coherent, and consistent one. Using data will be key for this position; from understanding user experience patterns to mining operational data. In this role, you will leverage your unique combination of business and technical knowledge to evaluate technical options and to represent business requirements to the technology organization.

This role offers the flexibility of full remote work or a hybrid arrangement based in one of OPENLANE's main office locations: Carmel, IN, or Toronto, ON.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Contribute to the product strategy

Act as a knowledge leader within the company

Work closely with internal and external customers to build empathy

Determine business & customer success metrics

Prioritize by value and deliver product initiatives

Be an expert on competitors

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Product Manager or Senior Product Owner

Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products

Authoring skills – able to articulate and document the customers’ problem in a manner that encapsulates knowledge and represents a true understanding of the market and its needs

Interpersonal skills – able to build strong rapport and relationships with customers to gain in-depth understanding of customers’ problems and needs

Interview skills – able to interview customers in order to comprehensively understand their market problem

Language skills – able to communicate, in written and verbal form, with diverse audiences, internal and external to the company, in a clear and comprehensible manner

Methodological skills – able to structure and craft market requirements using a formal and structured methodology

Process skills – able to implement and/or follow the product planning process component of the product delivery process

Research skills – able to perform market research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence studies

Leadership skills – sought for thought leadership on complex business issues and ability to lead facilitation of problem resolutions and new operations

Technical background - familiar with foundational software concepts, with experience in agile software development methodologies

Excellent teamwork skills

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously

Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Analytic, highly creative and business-focused problem solver

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous wholesale automotive remarketing industry experience

Strong system design experience

Agile, Kanban, Lean & Scaled Agile Framework experience

Bachelor's degree

Compensation Range of

Annual Salary: $93,000.00 - $125,000.00

(Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
