Job Description

The Product Management team works closely with our customers, sales & marketing teams to identify attractive vertical markets and customer needs and work with our engineers to guide hardware products from conception to launch. As part of the Product Management team, you bridge technical and business worlds as you design new hardware products with highly skilled engineers and then focus on working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to launch the products. As part of Product Management, you can be instrumental in development of our next innovative video system hardware products!

This role is hybrid with 2-3 days in-office per week.  Candidates must live in a commutable distance to Lancaster, PA site.  Travel Expectation, 15 - 20% (Domestic and International). Position may require early morning or late night meetings with development teams in Asia & Europe.

Responsibilities:

Provide market driven product solutions aligned to the business strategy by identifying new business opportunities, analyzing the market, the competition, new technology, and new industry product developmentsConduct market research and user experience studies in partnership with customers in their work environmentsPlan and conduct field testing of camera solutions in both actual environments and various video management software environmentsDefine the product strategy, communicate clear customer requirements for the development department, translate how short-, mid- and long-term business results can be achievedGuide and drive the development of new products from the initial phase until the final product stage.  Achieve optimal combination of performance and price in time for the defined market segmentPrepare and plan, in partnership with sales, the introduction of new solutions, including promotional material and product information in order to generate the largest impact in the marketMonitor the business during the lifecycle of the product, take corrective actions when neededDocument, track, and manage the engineering process; assist engineers and external partners with technical issues that may ariseCommunicate product plans, benefits, and results to all audiences including both internal and external teams and across the companyPartner with global product development team across time zones; position may require early morning or late night meetings with development teams in Asia & Europe

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or other technical discipline, and/or a technical certification equivalent, and/or related industry experienceAt least 5 years of product management experience from concept to launch and technical industry experience in hardware product development is requiredAt least 3 years of post-launch product experience ensuring optimal quality product standards are metExperience in driving product requirements definition, product planning, and product design (including writing requirement documents) of new product features and enhancementsExperience being involved in the process from end-to-end, from product production to executionExperienced in giving product presentations to a variety of stakeholders (internal and external), including creating and delivering with the purpose of informing, educating and creating enthusiasm around proposed product offeringAbility to be an independent thinker who takes ownership of the business and willingness to be hands-onAbility to capture customer needs for product interaction design and optimal user experienceExceptional written and oral communication skillsSignificant experience working in an international environment with continuous improvement best practicesAbility to work closely with technical and non-technical team members
