The Product Manager: Talent Solutions is an essential, strategic member of the Product team focused on deeply understanding Employment-centric markets including background screening and employment service solutions to drive the growth of their related portfolios. The role will rely heavily on customer research and market expertise to find solutions to real-world problems and mature our solutions. This role will collaborate within our Product team and across the organization to articulate a clear understanding of our offerings, provide important customer and market context to inform decision-making, and deliver new solutions throughout the product life cycle, alongside Product leadership.
In this role, you will operate as a subject matter expert of the employment-related markets and the unique attributes of our strategic partner’s implementations. Collaborating closely with our Go-To-Market team, this position will provide client and market direction, fueled by deep discovery and research. As a leader within our organization, you will be responsible for the product life cycle of products you’ll manage, assist with defining near and long-term priorities for our roadmap, provide clear communication around product and partner initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, and understand the competitive and regulatory pressures facing the markets you serve.
This position is in the Equifax Workforce Solutions business unit, and works closely with Product Operations, Technical Product Management, Engineering, Sales and Marketing leadership, Legal and Compliance, Operations leadership team, and other cross-functional teams to deliver complete solutions. The Product Manager will work a hybrid schedule from our office in St Louis, MO. We'll also consider candidates that can work from an Equifax office in Reston, VA; Louisville, KY; Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; or Des Moines, IA.
What you’ll do:Partner with technical product managers, to inform their business requirements to enable delivery of new solutions
Lead research-based discovery of marketplace problems to identify and articulate opportunities for portfolio or adjacent growth
Collaborate with key partner stakeholders to communicate external product vision and identify opportunities
Partner with technical product managers, to inform their business requirements to enable delivery of new solutions
Provides expertise to product counterparts for assisting in documentation creation and refinement for launching, implementing and supporting products
Serve as the subject matter expert for relevant offerings, leading internal efforts to educate and support the portfolio with our counterparts across the organization
Understand the regulatory environment our solutions exist within, and works with our legal and compliance teams to enable solution strategy
Provide expertise to customers helping consult on technology solutions and project the value of Equifax data assets with customers
Provide support and/or subject matter expertise to the sales function during all phases of the sales cycle (lead generation, assessment of client’s needs, solutions design, proposal preparation, products/solutions presentations/training, and client support and relationship management throughout solution delivery/implementation).
Connect the customers' analytics and technical environments to potential Equifax solutions, identifying and demonstrating value based upon customer needs
Act as primary point of contact for tracking and reporting objectives, results, and metrics that drive performance of BU products
What experience you need:Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study
Minimum of 5 years of product management experience in a SaaS/product-oriented software setting with hands-on involvement from both business and technical standpoint
What could set you apart:Experience working with background screeners, employment and/or software product solutions, compliance solutions or general experience
Experience working with person-related databases is highly beneficial – though not required
Demonstrated experience delivering new solutions and/or growing existing solutions in a SaaS environment
Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams and clients/partners
Polished communication skills, both presentational and written. Able to convey complex ideas to a variety of audiences
Experience working with large data sets and how disparate data can be combined to provide solutions instead of just ‘more data’
Strong experience interpreting and presenting data analysis
Understanding of product roadmaps and balancing prioritization between external needs and internal constraints
Understanding of the Product Life Cycle and how software products are designed, built and matured in an agile SaaS environment
Experience with Product Methodology within the Pragmatic Marketing framework
