As a Product Manager - Tech (PMT), you will partner with Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers and partner teams to harness the vast amount of operational data from the AWS fleet, and will use these data to generate insights that will guide engineering excellence and improvements on behalf AWS customers. Data analysis is at the core Amazon’s culture, and your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for our organization.
The ideal candidates will have excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen and judgment, intense curiosity, strong technical skills, and superior written and verbal communication skills. They will have a strong bias toward data driven decision making. They will be a self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity; able to think big and be creative, while exercising strong judgment and good instincts to be right a lot. The ideal candidate is motivated by delivering high-quality and innovative solutions within timeframes that most think are impossible. The PMT works cross functionally to gain insights on new requirements, understand customer pain points, obtain critical feedback on areas to improve and work to develop the product requirements and strategy. This work is to ensure we are developing products to please our customers and meet the business needs.
Key job responsibilities
The Product Manager focus utilizes their expertise to:
- Manage and maintain internal product portfolio updates
- Work with cross functional teams to provide updates to existing Product Operation Manuals
- Collect insight from internal teams and support implement of document templates and standardization across all programs
- Develop roadmaps and support with program updates
- Manage repository for all new developments within the tooling and analytics portfolio including technical documentation, narratives, user manuals, operation manuals, troubleshooting guides, training documentation etc.
- Support with our internal intake process
- Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations
- Collect input and support implementation of process improvements within tooling and analytics team
- Support with collecting customer feedback on global production deployment and reviewing internal Issue Logs
- Support with product feature additions to products that have been released into production
- Collaborate with internal team and support roll out and training across multiple teams

The impact of the changes are broad, so you will need to think big as you set the direction for the team.

Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for engineering, product development, and operation of complex technology programs. You prioritize your activities to support data center product development, identify and resolve problems and blockers, and focus on the actions that are most impactful for product success.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience
- Experience working with data engineers and/or business intelligence engineers in a tooling or analytics environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines
