Summary (Major Purpose of the Role):
As a Temporary Product Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and success of a designated product category or line of products. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the product portfolio, progressing new product development projects through our established processes, and overseeing updates to product-related content on both our B2B and B2C websites. You will also drive go-to-market strategies to ensure successful product launches and maintain strong cross-functional communication and collaboration. Your ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment will be key to succeeding in this role.
This will be a 6-month assignment.
Main Activities/Responsibilities:
Product Lifecycle Management
Understanding and managing the optimal portfolio of products, identifying gaps as well as constant cleansing via SKU rationalization to drive the greatest value at all times.Managing the ongoing pricing strategy and supporting the inventory investment plansNew Product Development and Project Management
Progress new product development projects through the various stages of the New Product Development (NPD) process.Create and execute business plans and market strategies for new products, managing projects from concept to launch.
Overall Category Oversight and Management
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to ensure successful product launches.Collaborate with the Commercial team and other stakeholders to drive revenue growth initiatives.Maintain and update product information on B2B and B2C websites, ensuring accuracy in images, specifications, and other details.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a liaison between key stakeholders, including Sourcing, Quality, Regulatory, Customer Service, and the Commercial team, to align strategies and ensure seamless execution.Market Analysis and Reporting
Conduct market and competitive analyses to monitor category activities and evaluate market dynamics.Track and report on business performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on operational excellence.Strong business and financial acumen with a balance of creativity and analytical skills.A proactive, results-driven attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
Education and Experience:
Brand/Category Management3+ years of product or category management experience College degree required, Marketing, Business, Engineering, HealthcareAdvanced Degree preferredMedical device experience/Clinical Experience preferredPortfolio Management across multiple categories preferred
Pursuant to New York law, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare provides a salary range in job advertisements. The salary range for this role is from $70,000 to $85,000 per year. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as the applicant’s experience, specialization, education, as well as the company’s requirements. The provided salary range does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits which may be offered to the applicant, if eligible according to the company’s policies.
