Within the ZF Aftermarket Division, the Business Line Digital Solutions enables aftermarket customers across application segments (cargo transport, people transport, industrial applications) to radically increase the efficiency, sustainability, and safety of their operations while meeting the regulatory and visibility standards of their markets.
As Product Manager Tier 1 Diagnostics for ZF’s Aftermarket Workshop Digitalization Services you will own the product vision, strategy, roadmap and success criteria for ZF’s Tier 1 diagnostics offering in support of ZF parts, systems & services business. You will closely work with the development team to ensure the deliverables of product based on specs, customer needs, achieving QCD targets. You will actively drive the partnership with engineering teams with regards to priorities, activities, and resource allocation. You will also support any new and existing business acquisition with our category management or the sales team.
Your tasks as Product Manager Tier 1 Diagnostics:
• Drive and own the product (portfolio) and strategy
• Define and align the product roadmaps with internal stakeholders
• Ensure profitability targets and business cases are met (own P&L of the product)
• Own the market analysis incl. value proposition development and understand the different regions/markets (voice of the market) as well as the the competitive landscape
• Identify and anticipate the customer needs and how our products and/or features will fulfil them
• Contribute to corporate and division strategies to ensure that our products play a part in larger business objectives
• Ensure a global anticipation and vision of the industry trends
• Act as product ambassador and (CEO), go-to person on all product-related matters, representing the product(s) both internally across the organization and externally (events)
Your profile as Product Manager Tier 1 Diagnostics:
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Management or a related technical/product background
• Min 8 years of experience in product management roles in agile software product development organizations (SaaS/PaaS/Cloud Software Solutions), ideally in automotive industry, connectivity or vehicle diagnostics solutions environment
• Vehicle diagnostics domain knowledge and understanding of vehicle diagnostics standards and requirements are a big plus
• Passionate about end-user software technology, with an understanding of cloud hosting technologies, Databases and Services development
• Ability to go deep with engineering team when required but understand that your real value is your business acumen, strategic thinking, and precisely informed perspectives; you never lose sight of what your customers need.
• Ability to lead by influence, combined with very good change management skills to assess impact of changes, change strategies, and to effectively communicate and implement changes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills with experience working across teams to achieve common goals.
• Thrive in a culture that expects ownership, autonomy, and accountability
• Fluency in English, additional languages a plus
• Willingness to travel
