Osmose has an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager in our new Underground Division.
The Product Manager will work to develop and execute a strategy and business plan to achieve desired results for Osmose and its Underground Services portfolio. The Product Manager is responsible for research, engineering, and technical development for bringing new products to market while maintaining existing products. The Product Manager ensures that the necessary internal resources, tools and processes exist to support and grow the product or service.

Participate in the process of generating new ideas for products and services that align with the company’s goals and growth strategy. Evaluate products and services to ensure that a viable business case exists. Perform market analysis to ensure that revenue targets are achievable. Develop business plans to justify startup costs and convey the strategy for assigned products and services. Present plans to senior management to obtain support and approvals needed to move projects forward. Utilize knowledge of the company’s resources and core competencies to create training and implementation plans. Work with internal teams to ensure successful development and, eventually, integration of products and services into the business. Work with engineering and technical resources to create clear and effective technical specifications for the product or service. Work with the Business Development, Operations and Contracts teams to implement new product specifications as well as updating existing specifications. Work with the Business Development and Operations teams to develop specific project proposals. Develop external and internal partnerships that support the success of the product or service. Develop and train the organization to effectively sell and deliver the product or service. Create documentation and references to ensure consistent and effective training practices. Be accountable for commercializing, and operationalizing new products or service to market. Develop technical specification, procedures, statement of work, draft proposals, develop pricing models (set pricing guidelines), own go-to-market strategy, and work closely with field operations to roll out new products or services. This role will be considered as the subject matter expert for the new service(s), and interacting heavily with customers and industry experts. Provide subject matter expertise on assigned products and services. Support sales efforts at all levels and ensure the creation of winning proposals. Attend industry events, participate in trade groups and deliver presentations that support product and service strategies. Contribute to other projects and plans, not specifically noted, to ensure the Company reaches its financial objectives.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and a strong technical acumen. Master’s degree is a plus. Five (5) years of experience in product management successfully launching products. Familiarity with the electric and/or telecom utility space is desired. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to speak clearly and confidently to customers. Must be able to write technical documents using proper style and grammar. Must be able to speak effectively in front of groups and communicate effectively to utility industry executives. Experience working with and interpreting engineering drawings is a plus. Ability to work effectively with multiple internal teams including Business Development, Operations, Contracts, Software Development, Senior Management, etc. Expertise in software tools, modeling (finite element analysis), data analysis (SQL, self-service BI tools, MS Excel), and productivity tools desired Demonstrate self-motivational qualities and sound character.
