Job Description

Product Management is a function within ZeroTouch responsible for the day-to-day management of products or family of products at all stages of the Product Life Cycle.

The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing.  This includes managing the product throughout the product life cycle from introduction to retirement, including gathering and prioritizing client requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with commercial operations and engineering to deliver client-focused products.  This is a matrix role that includes close collaboration with sales, marketing, operations, applications, and service organizations to ensure revenue and client satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager also ensures that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.

The Product Manager works to maximize client satisfaction and ZeroTouch profitability through the development, management, and continuous improvement of the business.  The Product Manager maintains a high standard of excellence and serves as a leading role model in the areas of product knowledge, customer satisfaction, process improvement, and quality management.
 

Role of the Product Manager

Act as the champion and spokesperson for the product and product lineWork closely with Commercial Operations providing commercial and technical feedback for product improvements, product positioning, product requirementsManage all aspects of the product within the context of the product life cycle, including new product development (R&D projects scope) and future adding/removing, based on received market/customer feedbackResearch market and product trends in the global business to business market to specify requirements for current and future productsDevelop and implement the core positioning and messaging for the productArticulate the company’s distinctive core competences and the product’s unique advantages Work closely with all functional groups (e.g. Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Customer Support) to maintain and improve current product offering and to develop the launch plan for new productsProduct interface between Sales and OperationsPerform Product Intelligence AnalyticsEvaluate competitive product offerings and analyze strengths and weaknesses compared to the managed products.Determine product offerings (configurations) and set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals, within the context of company strategy and in complement to other products offered by the companyManage creation of sales tools, product documentation, promotional materials and superior presentation material to support the sales forceParticipate monthly in training of the sales force, customer visits and seminarsProvide technical product support to sales and application engineering staffProvide technical support for non-standard product requestPrioritize product shipments in consultation with Sales, Finance, and Operations to maximize customer satisfaction and ZeroTouch profitabilitySupport Regional and Worldwide Key Account activitiesLead and facilitate continuous improvement and efficiency programs (Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions, Reduce Liabilities) to improve processes and increase customer satisfactionSupports and implements Quality management initiatives and processes
