Job Description

As part of the SSA Marketing team, candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our Product marketing strategy to help drive Visa’s products and solutions. Key responsibilities include helping to develop product marketing strategies, content, regional campaign platform, go-to-market approach, and measurement.

 

Candidate will collaborate across our global, regional, and sub-regional marketing teams to develop and deliver innovative programs and content that drive demand to our products and solutions amongst our clients and partners.  

 

Key duties and responsibilities would include:

Lead the development of the go-to-market strategies and marketing plans including positioning, messaging, and distribution strategies for products. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, strategy, and marketing, to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, consideration, and usage of Visa's products and solutions. Support the development and execution of product launch plans, including positioning, messaging, distribution strategies, and tracking key performance metrics to evaluate success. Identify and cultivate partnerships with influencers, media outlets and relevant organizations to maximize brand and product exposure. Design, plan, and execute digital-first campaigns, as well as partner-led on-the-ground activations and promotional activities to enhance brand awareness and drive customer acquisition. Design, plan and execute product usage strategies to drive consumer adoption and on-going engagement, aligned to the products defined success measures. Leverage consumer insights and product analytics to develop optimized consumer comms journey’s and support the enhancement of the product UX/UI in partnership with the Product & Solutions team. Lead external agencies to deliver high-quality consumer and market research, marketing assets and campaigns and deliver a holistic approach that drives our business goals. Partner with global and regional teams to ensure consistency of messaging and approach across the region, while also tailoring strategies and tactics to local market needs Be the advocate for the brand and the ‘voice of the customer’ in all major product design initiatives by ensuring alignment of Visa’s brand objectives with the product strategy.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
8+ years of experience in (Product) marketing in a regional role
Demonstrated success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies including on popular digital communication, e-commerce, and social media platforms.
Experience of direct-to-consumer marketing
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision making.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Understanding of developing African markets across West and West & Central Africa (including cultural nuances and consumers (e.g. segmentation, preferences, decision journeys
Understanding of the payments industry and the competitive landscape is a plus
Preference for a multi-lingual candidate fluent in English and French, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel and work in-market (30% of time)
