Role and Responsibilities
Our Product Marketing Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the continued success of Samsung’s B2B and B2C Monitor business with expectations covering a wide range of business areas including account management, product management, market intelligence and insights. This individual will work alongside other PM team members and cross functional teams such as sales, finance, SCM, and marketing and will be responsible for being the main PM lead for several key accounts. This individual will also be the primary liaison for all activities relating to the retail displays, trainings, analytics, field operations/MSM Support, and related reporting for the B2C monitor category. This individual will report into the Director of our B2C monitor business to support day to day operational management and will be tasked with finding new innovative ways to grow our monitor business while ensuring our retail merchandising continues to remain best in class.
Analyze consumer insights, competitive positioning and category trends in order to create product segmentation/positioning, GTM plans, and the proper counteractions
Comprehensive industry analysis for market share, price trends, etc.
Assist in weekly supply planning updates with coordination across sales, SCM, and other PM team members
Lead daily conversations with sales & account teams in sales forecasts & assortment meetings while effectively articulating Samsung’s overall GTM strategy for monitors and drilling down to account specific strategies & KPIs
Building up robust sales & marketing plans to ensure success during key drive times like Prime Week, Black Friday, Cyber Monday.
Assist in business case development, project plans, presentations, and communication plans to leadership and key stakeholders
Ability to diagnose and share corrective actions to recover business when trends reflect a share loss
Discover and share the relevant market data needed for Samsung to drive category growth
Develop product strategic messaging and positioning to lead other teams such as sales, retail and demand generation (marketing)
Estimating project costs and working with vendors, customers and internal stakeholders to develop and deliver compelling retail displays, POP and content solutions, and project managing to ensure delivery in a timely manner to meet customer requirements while staying within budget.
Managing FOC and Sample inventory and requests and conducting quarterly audits
Maintain and refresh the product assortment database as assortment changes throughout the year, at category / SKU and store level
Understand category dynamics to anticipate/create its future state.
Understand and track product assortment shipping and retailer reset dates
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
6+ years relevant industry experience; product/brand marketing and communication skills coupled with CE industry knowledge
3-5 years of project management with proven results – experience in retail would stand out.
Bachelor’s degree or MBA preferred
Self-Starter and a Passion for being organized
Adaptable during dynamic situations
Experience working with both National and Regional retail accounts
Strong communication skills (peer, outward and upward) in both verbal and written methods
Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required
Bachelor’s degree or MBA preferred
Prepare and deliver Customer & SEA Executive presentations and summaries
Ability to effectively lead negotiations with vendors and suppliers
Intermediate user of MS Excel (Pivots, moderately complex formulas, exec dashboard creation)
