Job Description
The Product Manager will manage daily downstream marketing activities for a range of surgical imaging products and accessories used in minimally invasive laparoscopic and open surgeries. Additionally, the Product Manager will help shape the category’s strategy and lead new product launches.
Job Duties Monitor sales trends and update forecasts to meet demand. Track market trends, including competition, procedural market growth, reimbursement, and emerging technologies. Support product launch studies and clinical validation activities. Create marketing collateral and tools to support the sales process. Conduct field work with sales, sales management, and clinical teams. Develop and implement tactics that support marketing strategies, including pricing, positioning, programs, and promotions aligned with the strategic business plan. Build relationships with MD product champions and key opinion leaders to influence broader market acceptance. Maintain expertise as the product specialist by attending procedures, courses, tradeshows, and staying informed about industry changes and advancements. Create training presentations and tools, and conduct training sessions for sales teams at training sessions, national sales meetings, tradeshows, and accounts. Assist with the creation, execution, and support of Surgeon Education programs. Facilitate the design and implementation of clinical studies and white papers that support overall imaging initiatives. Collaborate with upstream marketing teams in preparation for next-generation product launches. Perform all other essential duties as directed. Job QualificationsRequired:
BA/BS required, MBA a plus. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required. Must have experience in downstream marketing (product launch/commercialization), upstream marketing (new product development), field sales, field marketing, or clinical support. Experience within medical device experience preferred, surgical a plus. Must be willing to travel up to 30% to customer sites, tradeshows, and OCA affiliate sites, including international.
Preferred:
Proven record of accomplishment in managing complex projects to successful completion. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and influence a cross functional team. Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills, including interactions with sales and senior customer personnel. Proven track record of developing / maintaining strong customer and sales force relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, & Word is required.Why join Olympus?
