ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Introduce/launch new products or enhance existing products by communicating the product value and manage the cross-functional implementation of strategic plans. Develop comprehensive marketing messaging, positioning, and strategies for product buyers focused on designated product portfolios. Ensure that product marketing programs align with the company’s business strategies. Create specific marketing plans and activities for product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement.Study how competitors market their sponsored product platforms, what features they offer and why, and assess how Overstock compares in terms of performance, revenue, adoption etc. Determine the key features that attract customers and create marketing campaigns for products. Document buyers’ processes, including the source of information and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Evaluate advertisers’ needs, identify new opportunities to create partner value, and establish strategies to consistently engage advertisers to ultimately increase participation and revenue.Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing Communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with target buyer audiences. Drive changes to increase sales and marketing processes based on what is learned.Develop marketing plans for products, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs on an ongoing basis and report back to the business leaders with respect to required changes.Compensation Range: $54,325.00 - $67,650.00
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in the eCommerce industry developing strategic business plans for product lines, writing sales, promotions, and marketing content, and launching new products from consumer insights.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Business or a related field preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and with multiple teams across the organization ranging from sales, technical/product development, etc. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills and be able to professionally interact with employees at all levels of the company. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively synthesizing goals and objectives and laying strategic plans while monitoring their progress. Strong time management and decision-making skillsCreative problem-solving and project management skills. Ability to think innovatively, connect the dots and create business building insights.
