Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The mission of Project Kuiper’s Government Solutions (KGS) is to leverage Kuiper and provide high speed, low latency, and secure satellite broadband services to United States and allied government customers. This position will be working within the Technical Operations Team within KGS.

We have an immediate opening for a Product Management - Technical position to support the KGS team focusing on the definition of business requirements that will enable broadband product sales to government customers around the world, including public sector customers, distributors and field services partners.

The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and technical product requirements in a written context. The ideal candidate will be familiar with telecommunications services and government acquisition processes, particularly the U.S federal government. You must leverage your knowledge and skills to decide what actions to select stakeholders to determine the right goals and inform decisions. You will design long-term technical solutions to KGS business operations.

Key job responsibilities
This Sr Product Manager – Technical role will focus on authoring requirements that will define processes for business operations, accounting, finance and tax functions to process sales of KGS products to Government customers. This position will drive the definition and approval of plans for record KGS customer product order processing, equipment fulfillment, distributor enablement and broadband services billing using Amazon internal technology and off-the-shelf systems.

Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.

A day in the life
In this role, you will design, develop and deliver the system capabilities needed for Kuiper Government Solutions to generate proposals, process customer orders and activate broadband service. You'll lead the systems integrations that will monetize Kuiper's portfolio of mission-specific solutions, broadband service plans, satellite equipment and network connectivity. You will work closely with Business Development, Product Management, Software Engineering and Program Management teams at Kuiper Government Solutions.
