Product Operations Manager

About the role

The Product Operations Manager will assist the team with daily support, reporting, special projects, and other tasks to support key priorities. You will help to maintain a foundation for excellence by reinforcing product strategy with best practices, business processes, and defining and maintaining product policies and documentation. Other responsibilities include providing communications on releases and maintenance and responding to internal product inquiries. The Elsevier Product Operations Team is responsible for product and operational management of platforms, applications, and services for Nursing and Health Education products.

Responsibilities:
· Provide daily support for internal sales, customer success, and billing teams to help improve
engagement and usage of internal applications.
· Assist Product Team with managing new application requirements and release communications
· Interact with internal teams to represent requirements and understand key customer needs and
market basics.
· Assist with training development and implementation
· Represent product teams by owning and executing internal processes and communications.
· Provide ad-hoc and annual reporting and metrics.
· Assist with projects, as well as product, platform, LTI, and LMS activities.
· Understand and keep on top of emerging educational and learning technology standards and how
they may be applied within the organization.
· Perform research and special projects.

Requirements:


· Possess strong understanding of and experience with key technologies, including LTI and LMSs in
the market.
· Understanding of product delivery and development lifecycle.
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues on various teams across internal
departments including Technology, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support.
· Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and technical skills.
· Self-starter personality; comfort with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment.
· Able to compare and evaluate various possibilities to make actionable recommendations that
consider business and customer implications.
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects at once.
· Track record of demonstrating initiative.
