Tech Commercials has three Pillars – Planning, Movement and Development; and we now have an open role for a Product Owner for Compliance within the Development pillar. The Compliance portfolio supports a diverse range of stakeholders and functions within Primark – including but not limited to Sustainability, Sourcing, Quality Assurance and Traceability. We have responsibility for delivering technology solutions to meet the requirements of a rapidly evolving legislative landscape and therefore must be comfortable working in an agile manner and respond to changing business needs

What You’ll Do as an Product Owner
We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:Working with Business stakeholders, set vision for your products using industry knowledge, functional expertise and your understanding of the Primark business context. Support the business owner in defining objectives that will influence the product visionLeading development teams and SaaS vendors in delivering value to the userManaging live products to ensure value is being delivered to end users. Ensuring BAU operations are achieved, and system availability is maintainedAccountable for the release plan and strategy & cross portfolio alignment on relative priorities for the suite of products which may be identified to solve business and customer problems.Accountable for maximising the value of the product resulting from work of the development team and/or SaaS vendor and through its end-to-end lifecycleResponsible for the product development and operations, participating in planning (Sprint and Product increment) and providing a refined and precisely prioritised product backlog for the development team where appropriateUnderstanding user needs, how the business works and driving the development of the product through clear prioritisation. Envisaging and understand the final product and convey the value it creates and what problems it solvesInitiate and translate the product road map into a manageable product backlog and prioritise delivery based on value, risk and service considerations What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: Over 3 years’ experience in business relationship management in an IT environmentIndustry or functional expertise validated through experience working for a RetailerAble to clearly articulate the evolution of products through design thinking and user story mappingAn appropriate degree, equivalent qualification or experienceFamiliarity with a SaaS model, the Compliance portfolio works almost exclusively with SaaS providersPreferably a certification in Agile Product Ownership, Scaled Agile or equivalent
