The Role
Responsible for the success of the product by maximizing the output of the development team within a scrum framework. Responsible for ordering backlog, clearly expressing the product backlog items, ordering the items to best achieve goals and optimize the value of the work the team performs. Lead collaboration, facilitate sprint activities, and create and communicate requirements artifacts that translate business needs into executable requirements. Work closely with business stakeholders, product/project managers, and technical teams to understand, analyze, refine, prioritize, and communicate needs to ensure full understanding of project scope, objectives, and requirements. Develop and adapt the product vision, writing new user stories, and specify acceptance of each user story. Bring members of the User Community together to share knowledge, identify enhancements, manage toolset or training improvements, discuss issues, and drive toward process standardization. Ensure the health and quality of specific processes and resulting products across the value stream.
This individual will focus on the BOM and Welding processes throughout NNS for all programs. He/she should possess a deep understanding of SAP S4. He/she will support the on-going process evaluations, standardization efforts, and software integration / enhancements in support of both the BOM and Welding processes to ensure tools & processes are integrated vertically and horizontally across the organization. Performs functional analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. This person must possess the necessary verbal and written communication skills to successfully interface with various organizations throughout the company (and various job levels within those organizations), gain agreement on standard approaches / tool usage, and present information verbally and in written / slide form.
Primary responsibility: BOM Sustaining Improvement Team (SIT) and facilitation of Welding processes improvements
Job function includes:
· Mentor other SIT leads, IT, BOM and Welding business users.
· Evaluate effects of needed solution on current/future processes and systems to ensure efficient integration with a focus toward improvements in Quality, Safety, Cost, and Schedule.
· Drive collaboration and cooperation to improve processes; negotiates and / or brokers with groups to create solutions that support company initiatives.
· Make prudent decisions and take effective action amid complex and rapidly changing conditions; help to lead organizational change, improve team performance, and drive sustainable improvements.
· Track code development and implementation items from internal and external development
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 4 years of experience.
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree :
NNS Apprentice School graduate Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience Nice to HaveDesired skills include:
