Daikin Applied is seeking an aftermarket Category Product Owner I who is responsible for managing a defined portfolio of HVAC aftermarket parts and accessories driving profitability growth ensuring product availability and delivering an unrivalled customer experience. This role acts as the business owner for the assigned category, setting strategy, executing go to market plans, and collaborating cross functionally to optimize product life cycle, pricing, promotions in distribution.

The Category Product Owner I is accountable for understanding customer needs, competitive dynamics, and supplier capabilities to maximize category performance across all channels distribution service company owned parts stores and digital platforms. What you will do: 

Prepare category strategies and work closely with business stakeholders and the other team members to support business goals, drive revenue and profitability.Conduct training sessions and provide training material to internal and external stakeholdersActively manage stakeholders’ requirements and expectations throughout each project while maintaining the product vision and release plansCollaborate closely with team members. Clarify requirements and make timely decisions on execution detailsDemonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to gather data, assess trends, identify 
gaps, use imperfect data to draw reasonable conclusions, and assemble a set of recommendations supported by numerical factsProject management skills, including a demonstrated ability to develop a project schedule with key milestones, resources, costs and some assessment of risk; track progress; and accurately report the status of the projectCommunicate clearly with multiple teams collaborate with the design teams and train all internal support teams on new releases

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (Technical, Supply Chain or Engineering)2-4 years of related experience in previous Category Management experienceProven track record of meeting or exceeding goalsMS Word proficiencyWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

5 + years of experienceHVAC product knowledge

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $73,300k-$117,200k in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
