We're seeking a Product Owner to join our public safety analytics and data platform team, with a focus on analytics, data conversion, and third-party integration tools. In this position, you will connect stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users to ensure our product meets the needs of public safety professionals and boosts operational efficiency. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you'll play a vital role in maximizing the value delivered by our teams, ensuring that the backlog and sprint planning align with our roadmap priorities. 

 

What you can expect to work on:  

If you were part of our team, here are some tasks you might have tackled last week: 

Stakeholder Engagement: 

Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.  Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns.  Meet with internal stakeholders to seek input and prioritize initiatives. 

Product Vision & Strategy: 

Leverage your understanding of our end users and market demands to contribute to the product vision and roadmap.  Prioritize and define the product backlog based on stakeholder input, business value, and technical feasibility.  Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and user satisfaction.  Use data-driven insights to continuously iterate and enhance the product.  Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting public safety data. 

Backlog Management: 

Prioritize the product backlog in line with stakeholder input, business value, and technical feasibility.  Write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.  Weekly grooming with the team to maintain a healthy backlog with prioritized stories ready for development.  

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure a user-centric product design.  Partner with engineering teams to facilitate the successful delivery of product features, ensuring alignment with technical capabilities.  Collaborate with growth, client support, and client success teams to roll out and promote adoption among clients. 

Training & Support: 

Develop training materials and provide support to end-users to maximize product adoption.  Advocate for users to ensure a positive and productive experience. 

 

What we expect from you 

Five years of experience in B2B SaaS product management.  Technical product management experience is advantageous.  Daily, hands-on collaboration with engineering teams.  Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.  Demonstrated success in launching products and features for clients.  Experience working closely with internal stakeholders.  Proficient in communicating with clients and third-party vendors.  Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).  Familiarity with Agile methodologies is required.  Preferred experience in developing technical products, including analytics, data conversion, and integrations.
