Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a qualified and motivated professional to assume the role of Product Owner/ PLM for UPS battery on a WW basis.
Responsibilities\:
The Product Owner will report to the 3-Phase offer management director/Systems UPS league leader, and is a key position in a global organization, delivering value to the business and customers while maintaining a clear view on what the customer needs and what needs to get done. Product Owners represent the customer and act autonomously to communicate the right vision of the product within the Squad while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders (customers / commercial / plant / internal sponsors). They partner with League Leaders to set priorities (define, own and maintain the backlog), drive the strategic intent of the product and maximize the value of work done with the Squad. They create a conducive and collaborative environment through effective leadership.
The Product Owner’s responsibilities\:
· Define value proposition & set product strategy, in alignment with League vision & to ensure team achieves strategic goals
o Spend time with customers & stakeholders to identify value drivers
o Understand customer values, application, competitive environment, market trends, go to market and anticipate evolutions
o Gather and analyze customer’s needs by meeting customers and collaborating regularly with business stakeholders
o Evaluate the strategic value of the offer
o Define and validate the offer value propositions (UVP, business models, go to market)
o Understand technical trends to identify valuable innovations in the product environment
o Lead and contribute to the customer interaction strategy
· Build, follow-up and support business in collaboration with commercial zones
o Co-build or analyze business cases with zones
o Propose value base pricing recommendations
o Periodic analysis of business performances (volumes, sales, profitability, evolutions)
o Support business (reviews with zones, trainings, meetings with customers, technical prescription, animate supply chain rebalancing,..)
o Prepare the launch activities of the offer and coordinate with the geographies
· Create, prioritize & communicate with Squad members the Squad backlog, release map & roadmap.
o Challenge and evaluate requests (from business, quality...)
o Periodically review critical quality issues and associated mitigation plans
o Build and prioritize the product backlog
o Communicate backlog refinement
o Define, update and validate the offer/marketing requirement (in sync with companion Squads and Leagues guidelines / strategy) within backlog product prioritization
o Build the releases plan and global roadmap according to technology, feasibility, budget, resources, TTM
o Communicate the product roadmap to all stakeholders
o Periodically review customers demo feedback to assess new needs
o Periodically review with internal stakeholders (including management agreement)
o Lead the offer requirement trade-offs
· Define with Squad members the sprint strategy and achievement criteria. Take accountability in sharing outcomes with stakeholders
o Organize iterative deliverables for each sprint based on release objectives
o Ensure team understands and refines backlog items before committing to them
o Ensure sprint objectives contribute to value for customer (backlog) and product/process robustness
o Define and update achievement criteria
o Consider retro session outcomes in the iterative sprint definition
o Guide the Squad to set-up and re-prioritize realistic but ambitious enough sprint objectives\: squad velocity
· Support the Squad to deliver on sprints & “rendezvous”, acting as obstacle troubleshooter\: - Be the voice of the customer for the squad questions
o Support the squad on all obstacles (including capacity issues)
o Periodic analysis of the product cost to deliver the right level of product cost
o Define the best trade-offs between all parameters (e.g.\: Squad budget, schedule, product cost and business stake, quality, time to market, innovation)
o Ensure product/process robustness (according to «major rendezvous »)
o Review periodically main acceptance criteria with the Squad.
o Synchronize with companion Squads
· Create a conducive and collaborative environment through effective leadership\:
o Organize, lead, challenge and motivate the Squad
o Be the voice of the Squad in case of tradeoffs and success needs with stakeholders outside of the Squad
o Provide transparency to key stakeholders
o Be part of the Agile rendezvous
o Celebrate team's success
