Help us help others, and join Team Unum today! **General Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in Agile methodologies to lead the development and enhancement of enterprise data solutions. This role will own a set of capabilities and processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business value. The ideal candidate will have experience in Business Intelligence (BI), data science, and/or enterprise data solutions, along with a fundamental understanding of data flows between systems and consumers. Location: 2 days per week at our Portland, ME, Chattanooga, TN, Columbia, SC or Atlanta (Sandy Springs), GA campus **Specifications:** + Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Product Owner certification a plus (PSPO and/or CSPO). + Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. + Proven experience managing Agile Scrum teams in an enterprise data environment. + Familiarity with enterprise data products and data governance. + Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) or data science is highly desirable. + Knowledge of Agile tools such as Rally is a plus. + Demonstrated ability to influence with and without authority and challenge the status quo to drive innovation. + Self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead teams towards successful outcomes. + Experience working with distributed and offshore teams is a plus. + Enterprise data platforms leveraging Kafka (prior knowledge of Kafka is not required but understanding its premise is beneficial). **Responsibilities:** + Act as the primary point of contact for two Agile Scrum teams focusing on Master Data Management (MDM) and Operational Data Store (ODS). + Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives. + Work closely with developers, engineers, project managers, business analysts, and test engineers to ensure successful product delivery. + Guide the development of data solutions that support policy lookups, client relationships, and data accessibility across portals. + Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. + Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria. + Ensure the teams adhere to Agile best practices, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. + Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex data concepts. + Monitor and track key performance metrics to measure product success and impact. + Support change management initiatives and help teams navigate transitions effectively. \#LI-TS1 \#LI-MULTI \#LI-HYBRID ~IN1 Unum and Colonial Life are part of Unum Group, a Fortune 500 company and leading provider of employee benefits to companies worldwide. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience. $89,400.00-$183,500.00 Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
