Overview:
The Product Owner - Manufacturing Engineering Technology leads the improvement in processes and information systems on behalf of the Manufacturing business unit. You must be a self-starter and problem solver that is able to build relationships with stakeholders.
This work includes close collaboration with the application development, manufacturing engineering and operations teams to create bespoke cutting-edge technology solutions.
The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge in manufacturing, material flow, inventory control, and ERP/MRP system best practices.
This position is based full-time at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Remote work is not an option.

Responsibilities:
Own, facilitate and execute the development and deployment of manufacturing technology products
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering & Operations to understand, anticipate and translate their needs into product requirements
Define system requirements, priorities, and viable alternatives
Partner with the application development team to drive system analysis and design as part of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Evaluate and analyze emerging technologies that may benefit the company and its goals
Assists in developing user documentation and departmental processes and procedures
Proactively performs process and information systems analysis and makes recommendations for improvement that positively impact overall cost, efficiency, or quality
Provides technical training, guidance, and resource support for end users and departmental staff
Coordinates conversions and upgrades to vendor systems
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing engineering or similar engineering discipline
3+ years experience working with various types of manufacturing work cells, such as welding, machining, sewing, laser cutting, forming, and assembly
3+ years experience in Material Requirement / Enterprise Resource Planning software & processes
Must have ability to communicate and organize projects frequently under deadline pressure
Ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing systems analyst tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years experience in technical product ownership / business analysis and/or software development with project management or leadership responsibilities
MBA or Masters degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
Experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics ERP
