The Role:
As a Product Owner for MRI PHA Pro, you will be responsible for defining, managing, and prioritizing the product roadmap for our flagship public housing software solution. Your focus will be on delivering software features that align with the needs of public housing authorities while ensuring compliance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of HUD guidelines, a strong understanding of the public housing ecosystem, and experience in product management within a compliance-heavy environment.
You Will:
The Product Owner is responsible for maintaining and promoting the product line vision & strategy daily through interactions with development and cross-functional teams.The Product Owner maintains the product backlog (incident reports and enhancement requests) and prioritizes the backlog.Ensure all product features are designed and implemented in compliance with HUD regulations, including but not limited to Fair Housing, Section 8, Public Housing Management, and other HUD-related programs.Prioritize work for the development team in conjunction with the development managerThe Product Owner is responsible for developing user stories and packaging the features into product releasesPerform card break down, define exit criteria, provide test case scenario input, PO acceptance and documentation approvalThis position involves close interaction with product development, architects, product managers, support/services, partners, and clientsFunctional working relationship with Dev Manager and Development Team to ensure clarity on the problem & business value of the solutionParticipate on and/or leads client working groupsProvide cross-functional training/presentations and leads Knowledge Transfer sessions as neededParticipate in Client Advisory Board meetings and annual Users ConferenceYou have:
