What we are looking for

State Street’s Alpha Services Strategy, Solutioning and Product Team is looking for an Alpha Product and Strategy-Transaction Lifecycle Management, Assistant Vice President. This qualified individual will develop and deliver product, business solutions and strategy aligned with our Alpha Transaction Lifecycle Management vision. The incumbent will be the link between business teams, IT, and external parties to support Alpha’s industry leading Transaction Management and Trade Confirmation platform. In this position you will analyze business challenges and become a subject matter expert to drive business requirements with our developers. You will play a key role in designing and developing complex solutions to support our clients Front-to-Back transaction needs.

The successful candidate must be skilled in analyzing our complex business service flows across front, middle, and back office operating models for our Alpha Clients, with focus on post-trade execution lifecycle product and services. They will define and drive the execution of our long-term business strategy, internal business cases, solutions and all legal and committee reviews for new products and services. They will also oversee due diligence with our clients and vendors, driving the strategic solution design, business architecture, and business solutions/services, whilst driving program/project execution and reporting.

What you will be responsible for

Act as a Product Owner and champion within the company and industry representing Transaction Lifecycle Management product and servicesGathering of business/system requirements by facilitating user/client meetings, interviewing users, and researching.Design and implement client agnostic solutions that support and streamline end to end transaction servicing and interoperability for our Alpha clientsIdentify compile, analyze and document business requirements that accurately and thoroughly reflect business needs.Establish strong partnerships with project sponsors and stakeholders in Operations, Technology and other product teams within the State Street, & Charles River to influence and coordinate cross-functional business solutions and products, in support of client and business goalsAct as liaison between client services, and technology teams to support product positioning, customer demand and prioritize opportunities as part of the Transaction Management product strategy and developmentWork with business and technology partners to establish clear connections between business goals, strategies and the data and technology investments required to achieve themDefine, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap and 3-5 year vision, ensuring alignment with business transformation goals eliminating manual processing and reconciliation in support of decrease risk and unit costDeliver concise and meaningful presentations for internal and external audiences, including education and training of Sales, support groups, and executive level presentationsManage ongoing product demand, prioritization, program and project managementWorking directly with 3rd party vendors, OMS’, accounting agents and other interested third parties to manage implementations and deployments.

What we value

Product Owner (or similar) experience a plusExperience in SDLC, Agile Methodology, and associated industry tools (i.e. JIRA, etc)Experience with Complex OTC Derivatives a plusExperience working with event-driven architectures, relational / NoSQL databases, and schema managementAbility to think creatively and strategically with a focus on achieving outcomesProven history solving complex client use cases with effective business and technology solutionsExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills including expressing complex ideas and conceptsAbility to multitask and navigate competing priorities, drive client expectations and deliverables to project milestone dates

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years' experience as a business / product analyst, or related experience, requirements gathering, design, and development of enterprise application systemsStrong industry and work experience with the front, middle and back office related integrations, functionality, and electronic order management platforms (i.e. Bloomberg PORT, CRD, BRS Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, etc.)Understanding of messaging protocols and formats such as XML and JSON.Understanding financial industry messaging formats such as FIX, SWIFT, or FpML is a plus.SQL/database query skills a plus

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
